Lightkin (4e Race)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Languages: Supernal (a normally restricted language) and three other languages. PC Races can have damage resistances, but not immunities. The encounter power needs a tiered attack bonus to keep up with enchantments, and damage progression should be 1d8, 2d8, 3d8. Stun effect should not be available for 1st level characters, and encounter powers should not cause damage on a miss.

You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. If you do not understand balance please leave comments on this page's talk page before making any edits.

Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: "Your eyes project light" and yet "Their eyes are black voids". Adventurers section needs.. uh.. some work.

You can help D&D Wiki by finishing and/or adding flavor to this page. When the flavor has been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. Lightkin are the gods proud assassins, taught to kill in udder silence and often with no mercy. These people are ravaged with the torment of having to kill innocent beings. Often these people hide in shame just because of the guilt built up inside.

The main goal in almost every Lightkin's life is to reach the status of "god", and kill his former master for the crimes that he made him commit.

Play an Lightkin if you want...

  • To kill for a living.
  • To serve a higher power.
  • To rebel from the gods.
  • To be a cool lightning person.
  • To be a member of a race that favors the Rogue, Ranger, Warlord, and Wizard classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

Their skin can be the color of lightning, such as yellow, purple, or blue. Their eyes are black voids, they don't have a noticeable mouth or nose but they do need to breath but not as much as humans do. Their ball lightning color tends to be the same as their own color. They rarely speak but when they do their voice has three different pitches to it, signaling that he/she is something not natural. Lightkin cannot mate or reproduce in any manner. Lightkin never die unless killed by someone or something

Playing a Lightkin[edit]

The lucky few who served long enough were set free of their bonds and let to roam for eternity. These people sometimes also upraised against the gods, thus always ending in death. Most Lightkin that are free eluded the gods and went into the life of hiding.

Lightkin usually never worship any god because of their association with the gods. But if a god other than their master sets them free they usually worship that god.

Lightkin are found on every continent that a civilized race lives on (usually the freed ones hide in extreme environments where no one else could find them). The gods usually assign one Lightkin per tribe, one for a small city, two for a large city, and three or for for a capitol city. Therefore people usually go a lifetime without seeing even one Lightkin.

Lightkin Characteristics: Solitary, quiet, sly, free-willed, intelligent, nomadic

Female Names: Florina, Venaco, Linor
