Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: All Purpose Components is convoluted; gaining access to spells because you didn't cast other spells? Incomplete H&W table. For guidance, see the 5e Race Design Guide.

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Instatneous Regeneration is ridiculous, and also extremely niche. Fluoroscopy is blindsight without saying blindsight plus more. The whole race seems like a dream hodge-podge of traits to make it less annoying to play. Know all languages(basically) Can't be surprised, always aware, sleep 4 hours, can't loose limbs, no lingering injuries, immune to disease, stronger so you have higher carrying capacity, higher than 20 boundary for constitution. See 5e Race Design Guide.

Kodaku[edit]

Have you ever heard of Infinite Army? No? Then allowed me to educate you. They are the results of sorcery and alchemical failure to create Prima Materia, the source of creation. They are made out of hundreds thousand of creatures melded and compressed together into one single being, until finally it became the lump of liquefied flesh known as Gibbering Mouther. This process was repeated over and over again until finally an Infinite Army was brought into existence. Regardless of how many times it was killed, it will return back to life after a week. Shred them to pieces, and each pieces would simply regenerate back, resulting into more of them. Even if they are burn to ash, like the Divine Bird of Flame, it will rise back after a year. What make it even worst, any creature that killed by them couldn't be revived and after 6 hours, turn into another Infinite Army.A large amount of researchers concluded that it was immortal undead. Their souls are forever trap inside their prison of flesh never to return to creator.

So back to the topic, what does this creature and my sermon had to do with each other. It simple. To prove that it not an irreparable failure or irreversible process. Through years and decades of studies, I finally create a spell to put those lost soul to rest.

—~Iseult, renowned Alchemist and High Bishop during one of his sermon~

Physical Description[edit]

At first glance, they appear to be young children of Humanoid race such as human, dwarf, elf and closely resembles halfling. Standing about 2 and half feet tall, they appear relatively harmless with skin tone ranges from tan to fair white with some freckles on their cheeks brimming with innocent. Their hairs colour also are no different than other race even though it feel somewhat bristly to touch. Female Kodaku tend to have long puffy hair that reach their knee.

So what give them away if they appear no different from another humanoid children? It the shape of their eye. They have unique, shining bright multicoloured eye. Inside their two human eyes are seven small pupils, which makes it look like they has seven eyes on each side. It consists of scarlet, viridian, aquamarine, gold, obsidian, and amber pupil surrounding a pearl color pupil.

They usually wear a hooded robe or simple yet sturdy clothing along with headdresses or hat that cover their eyes. While dressing like this and with their childish nature, it hard to distinguish them against normal children.

History[edit]

Unlike normal race, Kodaku was not born but artificially created through the co-operations of at least 5 spell caster using arduous ritual that last for 3 days. Beginning with Alchemist Spell, Create Philosopher's Stone to compress 10 fresh corpse of Infinite Army into a rainbow coloured gem. Then, cast Wizard Spell, Create Homunculus to create and bestow pseudo-personality and name into the gem. After that, Cleric Spell, True Resurrection was use along with the bestowed name. At the end of this ritual, the Rainbow coloured gem will break into 5 part and from each one, a Kodaku will grow into existence.

Those who was turn into Infinite Army or consume by one never die. Their souls are trapped and tormented forever with no way to escape. Each Infinite Army usually consists of 100,000 creatures that frequently tortured and drained of life energy to sustain the Infinite Army.

Through this ritual, they are given the rest that they deserved. In short, Kodaku is nothing more than a golem create from by products of purification ritual.

Society[edit]

Despite being nothing more than a magic construct, their creator, which in most case, the Church or Kingdom make great effort to make sure that they could have a decent life and education. Usually they will be employed by their creator as servants but it not rare for some to be adopted into the family that lost their members to Infinite Army.

Even with those protection given by their creator, a minority of people consider them as nothing more than valuable source of wealth. Their eye are viewed as treasure by the rich. Their blood could be use to fuel magic tools. While their body are coverted by criminal spell caster as a way to attain immortality without being a lich.

There are also certain individuals in society who dislike or view them as object of fear due to their origin.

Kodaku Names[edit]

Kodaku are usually being given name by their creator discretion so they mostly have name base on other race. As for those who was adopted, they will be given a new name by their new family race, but usually it the name of their deceased family members.
