Kaeozz Bolt (Jaroidia Supplement)

You summon the energy of Kaeozz to serve you, creating chaos and damaging a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d20+1d12+1d10 damage. The number rolled on the d10 determines the attack's damage type, as shown below.
If you roll the same number on both d20s, the chaotic energy leaps from the target to a different creature of your choice within 120 feet of it. Make a new attack roll against the new target, and make a new damage roll, which could cause the chaotic energy to leap again. this counts as a new spell for the purposes of multiple targets and extra attacks.
No effects can change this spells targets from what the player chooses, for example if the player targets a tarrasque, the tarrasque cant cause the spell to target the player, however the twinned spell metamagic option can cause the spell to target 2 creatures at once at any time (you can attack 2 players at once and then attack them both again if you roll the correct numbers for the d20s).
This spell is thought for the Jaroidia setting, and can only be learned by characters level 4 or higher. As such, its power may not be suitable for a different campaign.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell while at a total level equal to 5th level or higher, increase the base damage by 1d12, or instead 1d20+1d12 to the base damage for 11th level or higher, or 2d20+1d12 for 17th or higher.
