Issuni (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Following in the footsteps of their cousins the Elves, the Issuni ventured forth from the Feywild, into a world of solidity and form. Very quickly they realized they'd made a small miscalculation in regards to their size, versus the size of everything else...
The Issuni look a lot like elves, with similar skin tones without regard to subrace. They range from pale white to ebony, to a blueish green. Hair color can be of any color, same with eyes. The Issuni are a vibrant, spirits made flesh and this is reflected in their physical appearances.
The Issuni are a race of spirit-like beings not entirely dissimilar from elves, only far smaller. Like the elves, the Issuni were originally spirits that migrated from the Feywild as tiny spirits, and took a semblence of mortal form. That form however is diminutively tiny, standing between 1-3 inches tall. Initially the Issuni lived near the elves, and thus there are many similarities in culture. Eventually they went their separate ways and the Issuni into myth.
Issuni believe in being loving and caring to those around them, being a tigh-knit community surrounded by giant terrors and where each day may be their last they make sure to share their affection freely with those that have earned it. Community is important to the Issuni, and all contribute as best they can for the betterment of all. Those who are physically unable to contribute are well taken care of, as they view all the lives of all Issuni as precious. The Issuni practice just as many jobs, and classes as the larger or "giant" races with a determination that belies their miniscule size. Courage, honesty, and bravery are virtues valued by all community members. Though the Issuni are usually surrounded by larger than life dangers, theirs is a life that celebrates life. They enjoy happy festivals, and celebrate unions and births with gusto.
They have learned caution however with the larger races, as this freedom of expression has cost them dearly with many members of their race captured for experiments by mages, sold as odd pets, or even eaten whole as a delicacy.
Many Issuni disguise themselves as insects or small rodents by wearing rodent pelts and helms, or the something that resembles the carapace of a beetle.
It is the rare few Issuni that is overcome with wanderlust to explore the world, but those that do are supported, equipped and missed by those they leave behind, with a hope they will return safely someday. The rarest of all, is the criminal Issuni, banished instead of killed for their crimes. The Issuni magically mark the banished, as forever banned from returning to any Issuni community, the harshest punishment they can imagine. It takes a great deal for such a punishment to be meted out however, and happens only very rarely. Maybe once in 500 years.
Issuni names are usually similar to elves, but having lived away from them for so long they tend to adopt some of the naming conventions of the races around them.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Issuni reach maturity at 25 years old, and appear in the prime of youth for most of their lives until 500 years old, when they begin to show small signs of aging. Most however do not survive their first century, as life at their size can be dangerous. After around 1000 years old, many are feeling their age and may feel a calling to go to sleep, fading out of the physical realm as their spirits are free to return to the Feywild. Some rare few however do not feel this call, and if they manage to survive just keep going indefinitely.
Alignment. Issuni value community and personal freedom so tend more towards Neutral, and Chaotic alignments.
Size. Issuni are Tiny, rarely being taller than 3 inches tall. As such they can squeeze into spaces as small as 1 inch, and your carrying capacity is a half of Medium sized creatures.

Darkvision. "You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray." The Issuni are used to running between the blades of high grass, under the roots of trees or in the cracks of cities away from the rays of the sun.
Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Mobility. When you take the Dash action, you move an additional amount equal to your walking speed. You may perform a standing high jump a distance equal to 1 + your Strength modifier feet. When you're being attacked, using a reaction, you can add your proficiency bonus to your Armor Class against the triggering attack. The Issuni are unnaturally fast and sprightly for their size.
Unseen. You have proficiency with the Stealth skill.
Unnoticed. Due to your miniscule size you do not provoke opportunity attacks from creatures size small or larger when moving in or out of their threatened spaces.
Light as a Feather. Due to their small size and weight Issuni do not suffer from fall damage.
Trance. Issuni, like elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
