Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Insufficient description for an artefact. How can it be introduced into a campaign? Why would it need to be destroyed or nullified? The destruction criteria is vague.

Wondrous Item (Cloak), artifact (requires attunement by a character with at least 16 constitution)

You have made a friend of the Void, and helped it when it needed help. Now, it returns the favor. The Incarnated Barrier of the Void is a cloak of protection that gives a +3 to AC with the following effects and features:

Living Void. While wearing this cloak you can use a bonus action to speak its command word, causing it to animate. It will remain animated until you use a bonus action to end this effect, you are Incapacitated, or you die, at which point the cloak falls to the ground lifeless. When you animate the cloak it has a movement speed of 25. You can command it to grapple someone, with a DC of 15, or you may command it to move an object up to 25 lbs.

Voyage of the Void. As a bonus action, you gain a flying speed of 45 feet for a number of turns equal to your AC. These turns may be split up into multiple instances by dispelling the effect with a free action, but a bonus action must be used every time you reactivate this feature. The cloak regains all uses of this ability at dawn.

Unbreakable Void. As a reaction when you are targeted by a spell or ability, or subjected to a saving throw, you can call upon the cloak to surround you with an inky black casing, you gain immunity to all damage, you become restrained until the start of your next turn. The cloak regains use of this effect at dawn.

Balance in the Void. As a bonus action, you may sacrifice your own vitality to heal a creature. Lose an amount of Hit Points of your choice, and one creature of your choice within 45 feet of you gains Hit Points equal to 3 times the amount you sacrificed. The cloak may be used in this way three times, and it regains all uses of this ability at dawn.
