Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Incomplete. This really needs to be fleshed out because as of right now it lacks any substantial Fluff. While it can be regarded by some as useless information it has a significant impact on how your content is used by players. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide for help. This would probabbly work better as a dwarvish subrace rather then standalone race.

High Dwarf[edit]

The world has tried to keep us hidden, tried to keep us from the eyes of others. That time is over. It is time, my brothers and sisters. Time to make our mark.
—Arbane Dirgetoe, unofficial high dwarf tribe leader

Physical Description[edit]

High dwarves stand tall over their dwarven kinsmen, standing at 5 feet at their shortest, and just bellow 7 at tallest. They are also heavier than the elven side of the family, usually weighing between 150-250 pounds. Although then can grow hair on their heads, most high dwarves shave their heads, instead taking a liking to the beards growing on their face.

History[edit]

High dwarves has always lived in hiding, due to the resentment they are given from the other races. With only their own family to trust (sometimes not even that) high dwarves has not been able to make a mark in history.

Society[edit]

Being the unusual pairing of races that they are, high dwarves do not posses a society of their own, tending to stick with the culture they where raised in.

High Dwarf Names[edit]

High dwarves will in most cases adopt a name that is similar to the society they where raised in: elven names for elven society, or dwarven names for dwarven society.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Trance. High dwarf—much like elves—can meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day in place of sleeping. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
High Dwarven Resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance against poison damage.
High Dwarf Magic. You know one cantrip and one 1st level spell of your choice from the wizard spell list. You can cast the 1st level spell once. Intelligence is your casting ability for all of these spells.
