Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Incomplete. This really needs to be fleshed out because as of right now it lacks any substantial Fluff. While it can be regarded by some as useless information it has a significant impact on how your content is used by players. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide for help.

In addition, a half-dragon variant already exists in the Monster Manual.

Half-Dragons[edit]

“I know everything, you see”, the old voice wheedled. “The beginning, the present, the end. Everything. You now, you see the past and the present, like other low creatures: no higher faculties than memory and perception. But dragons, my boy, have a whole different kind of mind.” He stretched his mouth in a kind of smile, no trace of pleasure in it. “We are from the mountaintop: all time, all space. We see in one instant the passionate vision and the blowout.”
—John Gardner, Grendel

Physical Description[edit]

You look mostly Human, tall and broad maybe, but people would think you are Human, as not much at all reveals your true heritage.

History[edit]

In some cultures, half-dragons have been seen as creatures blessed by the gods, while in others they’re treated as abominations of natural law. Because of this, they may be surprised by the positive or negative attitude towards them when entering a new town.

Throughout history, half-dragons become trusted sages sought far and wide for their extensive knowledge, while others may become vicious mercenaries feared throughout the countryside. Though many become wanderers searching for many different things, most often their draconic parent, an adventuring life comes as the next logical step to finding what they're looking for.

Half-Dragon Names[edit]

Half-dragons usually adopt the naming scheme of their parent's society. On rare occasions, they may also have a draconic name either as their only name or nickname.
