Half-human (Quarter Orc, Quarter Elf)
The offspring of a half-elf and a half-orc.
Mostly human in appearance with a slight underbite and a strange skin tone-- somewhat gray like the orcs but not so much that it stands out. Half-humans will often have pointed ears and eyes that glow in the dark.
Created when a half-orc and a half-elf love each other very much... (or maybe not, that's up to you).
No one really knows what to do with a half-human. They're not agile enough to be treated like an elf, and often they're not strong enough to be treated like an orc. They aren't... normal enough to be treated like a human, so they're often raised away from society by one or both parents, or abandoned entirely. They tend to avoid society when possible, but this does not mean that they themselves are antisocial beings. They like company, they simply do not often have it.
Half-humans tend to have names that lean on cacophony (harsh sounds) as opposed to euphony (more melodic sounds). However, they try to follow Elven naming parameters within this, so if elves tend to have Greek names in your world, so will the half-human. They pride themselves on having meaningful names, even if they gave them to themselves. Male: Antiphates, Astraeus, Cacus, Crius, Erebus, Lelantos, Menoetius, Keuthonymos, Kydoimos, Ophion, Phanes, Polybotes, Pontus, Tartarus, Thanatos.
Female: Achlys, Adikia, Ananke, Benthesikyme, Dikaiosyne, Eurynome, Kore, Kalakogathia, Mnemosyne, Pepromene, Praxidike, Techne, Tethys, Thalassa.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2 and your Strength score increases by 1.
Age. The age a half-human reaches maturity is technically 17 and 3/4, but it's widely accepted that they are adults at 17.
Alignment. They tend to veer towards neutral alignments, the elf and orc parts cancelling each other out.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
"Darkvision". You can see up to 60 feet in dim or dark light. You cannot discern colour.
Relentless Endurance. Should your HP drop to 0, you can force it to only drop to 1 HP instead. This can be used once every long rest.
Fey Ancestry. Due to your recent elven (and therefore faerie) ancestry, you have resistance to being charmed, and cannot be put to sleep magically.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice. You can speak Elvish or Orcish, and you can read Elvish or Orcish (note: they must alternate).
