Half-mimi also known as stolen children, are children who were led astray into the wilds and raised by mimi. This leads to a physical transformation of body and mind that is irreversible, and intended to create new mimi. Half-mimi represent those who either escaped, rescued from, or abandoned by the mimi before this transformation could be completed.

Physical Description[edit]

Half-mimi are usually tall and slim, with proportionally long arms and legs. Their skin is always black, their hair can be brown or auburn but is usually dark grey or black, the eyes are usually the last to change and are the tell-tale difference between mimi and half-mimi.

Half-mimi do not form their own societies. They sometimes reintegrate into the communities they were taken from, if they are unchanged enough that their parents still recognize them. Usually though they are no longer seen as kin to their original families and take up a wandering lifestyle or find a fresh start in another community. Frontier or isolated communities often have a strong half-mimi community, and it is not uncommon for bands of travelers in remote areas to have a Half-Mimi or two among their ranks.

Half-Mimi Names[edit]

Forgetting your name is the vital last step to losing your identity and becoming a mimi. So, half-mimi's keep their original names from before they were stolen if they were old enough to know them. If they were stolen while they were still an infant, then they often choose a name for themselves when they reintegrate into society. This can literally be any word or sound that they hear and decide sounds good.
