Gnomelings[edit]

Personality[edit]

The Gnomeling is a half-breed, began as a blend of either Halfling and Gnome or Dwarf and Gnome, or most rarely, a Dwarf and a Halfling. When a Gnomeling mates with a Dwarf, Gnome, Human, or Halfling, another Gnomeling is certain to be the offspring. Two Gnomelings will similarly only produce a Gnomeling child. They usually share many characteristics with the reclusive half-elves, as cast-offs from society. While a few are accepted in the culture of their birth, especially if born into one of the very few Gnomeling communities, most are scorned as simpleton runts or feared as brutish thugs; no matter what their true personality.

Typically, the Gnomeling will have an inborn curiosity which can never be satiated no matter what he gets in to or how many mysteries he solves. One with Dwarven heritage is often prone to be a smith or tinkerer, giving great reverence to mechanical objects. As they must necessarily learn the culture in which they find themselves, Gnomelings tend to be as versatile as the Humans which may be present in their bloodline.

Physical Description[edit]

A Gnomeling is a medium sized creature, but just barely – their heights range from 45” up to 60” (3’6” + 3d6”), and they are generally of medium build to even being somewhat stocky – ranging in weight from 95 to 200 lbs (92 + 1d6X). They generally have no ability to grow a beard, though many sport very long and fanciful moustaches. Their hair colors can run the gamut from bright red to dull brown, rarely is seen a head of black or blonde hair. Eyes tend to sparkle like gemstones, from the deep blue sapphire, through the gentle purple amethyst, and on to the brilliant emerald green. Their skin always has an earthy hue, tans, browns, and red tones; with some few variants seen with skin color much like the rocks of the mountains – blacks, grays, and bright white. Gnomelings typically live twice the normal age of Humans, 200 to 250 years.
