More information...

This creature resembles a large, feline-like wolf composed of dark metal plates. It stands about four feet high at the shoulder and about twelve feet long. The creature's body seems to ripple as the metal plates move and retract constantly. A faint orange glow can be seen in it’s eyes and in the joints in the metal plating. Its mouth is lined with perfect serrated fangs of steel, and tiny wisps of smoke leak from it.

One of Alethros' most prized creations, the forgefire ravagers are the Forgelord's attempt at a hunter/guardian for the mines of Dekanstil.

A forgefire hound usually fights as directed by its master or mistress, although if commanded to guard or defend a creature or area, it generally takes advantage of its superior speed to engage their foes from across a distance, charging and attempting to drag it’s opponent down. A forgefire hound treats his bite attack as adamantine for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.

Trip (Ex): A forgefire hound that hits with a bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent (+5 check modifier) as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the forgefire hound.
