Force Sensitive[edit]

Enjoying some of the old Star Wars games (The good ones), I felt like dipping in and making a simple Star Wars based class. This is really just for a basis, and something to amuse myself with, but feel free to take a gander through and ponder on it.

This is just a basis for future Jedi and Sith classes that I'll eventually make up as Prestige classes.

Making a Force Sensitive[edit]

The Force Sensitive is a gifted combatant, whether they know it or not. The Force flows powerfully through them, giving them amazing physical capabilities as well as abilities reminiscent of magic, and skill. However, this leaves them potentially vulnerable to enemies who are immune to their powers.

Abilities: Strength, Dexterity, and Wisdom are the three prime attribute scores for a Force Sensitive; Intelligence, Constitution, and Charisma are rare in a Force Sensitive who isn't planning ahead to use them. Strength, and Dexterity are important to potential Jedi and Sith combatants, while Wisdom and Charisma function as the mainstays of Force-manipulating Jedi and Sith.

Races: Nearly any race can carry the ability to tune themselves into the Force, and as such the Force Sensitive is a large amount of these peoples. Any race that can feel the Force is capable of being a Force Sensitive.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: As Ranger.

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features[edit]

The Force Sensitive is an adept, and dangerous combatant. She is a variable not easily calculated due to how independent and different one is from the next. All of the following are class features of the Force Sensitive.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Force Sensitive is proficient with all Simple weapons, two martial weapons of her choice, and light armor.

Bonus Feats: The Force Sensitive may pick an extra bonus feat from the Fighter Bonus Feat list at 1st, 5th, 10th, and every five levels thereafter.

Force Sensitive (Ps): The Force Sensitive feels the effects of the Force strongly, and is in tune with others within her awareness, gaining a situational +2 to all rolls made to detect a fellow Force-user.

Precognition (Ps): The Force Sensitive may make a Concentration check to see an amount into the future, granting her a circumstantial +2 to any checks associated with the event she foresees. This ability requires a recharge time of (1d6-CON modifier, minimum 1) rounds.

Channel Force (Sp): At 3rd level, The Force Sensitive may channel the Force into her body to accomplish feats of great strength, skill, and thought. An amount of times per day as dictated by her level, she may gain a +2 insight bonus to her next check, or attack roll. This increases by +2 at 6th, 12th, and 18th level.

Manipulate Force (Su): At 5th level, The Force Sensitive may recreate the effects of any 1st level or lower spell through the Force. An additional spell-level is granted every 5 levels thereafter to the Force Sensitive. (Example: 2nd level spells at 10th level.)

Aura: At 10th level, The Force Sensitive gains Aura of Good, Evil, Lawful, Chaotic, or Neutral as based upon her own alignment.

Awaken to the Force (Ex): The Force Sensitive gains a greater comprehension of The Force, gaining the ability to Manipulate and Channel the Force times per day adding her Wisdom modifier.

Force Power (Ps): At 15th level, the Force Sensitive gains the ability to use Powers from the Psion/Wilder class list through The Force as if they were a Psion of their Force Sensitive levels. They add their Wisdom modifiers instead to any powers that gain modifier benefits.

Force Empowerment (Ex): At 20th level, the Force Sensitive may, once per day, let The Force rampant through her body like the power of nature. For 1d4 rounds, the Force Sensitive becomes immune to Sleep, Paralysis, Poison, and Charm. During this time, the Force Sensitive gains an extra Standard Action per turn.

Ex-Force Sensitives[edit]

Any Force Sensitive who loses their connection to the Force loses all benefits of the Force Sensitive class, save for their proficiencies. Force Sensitives must regain their connection to the Force to regain their abilities, and continue taking levels in the Force Sensitive class.

Force Sensitive Lore[edit]

Characters with ranks in Knowledge (The Force) can research Force Sensitives to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.

Knowledge (The Force)
DC Result
5 Force Sensitives are people gifted with the innate, or trained ability to manipulate the powerful energy known as The Force.
10 The Force is often an innate, genetic gift, while some train all their lives from a young age just to harness the most meagre powers.
15 A special few are so gifted, that they, by juvenile age, have absorbed a huge amount of Force potential.
20 Force Sensitives as a whole are defined by their choices, more than their choice of banner.

Force Sensitives in the Game[edit]
