Foodon Fighter[edit]

Making a Foodon Fighter[edit]

Foodon Fighters make excellent front-line fighters. Their food abilities also make them great pre/post encounter support as they can cook meals that add effects to the consumer's status.

Abilities: Foodon Fighters prefer their Constitution over other abilities, though dexterity is important to AC and Reflex Saves, and Wisdom for Will Saves. Str, Int, and Cha aren't very important buy vary on characters.

Races: Typically Human.

Alignment: Any

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Foodon Fighter.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Foodon Fighters are Proficient with Cooking Equipment as weapons and shields though they wear no armor. Knives are treated as Daggers, Spoons and Spatulas are treated as Clubs, Forks are treated as Darts, Pans are treated as light shields, and Pots are Heavy Shields.

Bonus Feats: Bonus Feats may be chosen as any feat and their Foodon Fighter level is treated as their Fighter Level for the purpose of gaining Fighter Bonus Feats.

Foodon Form: A Foodon Fighter can call upon her inner fire, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a Foodon Fighter can toss her inner fire into a meal she has prepared and transform into such meal as a Foodon. This transformation lasts for a number of rounds per day equal to 5 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she turns into a Foodon for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from this transformation and spells like bear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a Foodon Fighter can transform per day. A Foodon Fighter can enter Foodon Form as a free action. The total number of rounds of Foodon Form per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.

While in Foodon Form the Foodon Fighter's appearance changes to wear a chef's uniform of a color of the Foodon Fighter's choice. The Foodon Fighter gains a +4 morale bonus to her Dexterity and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves, and a +10 ft Movement Speed. The increase to Constitution grants the Foodon Fighter 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the Foodon Form ends and are lost first like temporary hit points. While in Foodon Form the Foodon Fighter also gains lethal Unarmed Strike damage that improves as a monk.

A Foodon Fighter can end her Foodon Form as a free action and is fatigued after Foodon Form for a number of rounds equal to the number of rounds spent in the Foodon Form. A Foodon Fighter cannot enter a new Foodon Form while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter Foodon Form multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a Foodon Fighter falls unconscious, her Foodon Form immediately ends.

Skilled Chef: A Foodon Fighter is skilled in cooking and gains a +1/level to Profession (Chef/Cook) checks. Foodon Fighters take no longer than 10 minutes to 30 minutes to cook any meal. This time is cut down to 5-10 minutes while in Foodon Form. Foodon Fighters may take 10 and add their Profession (Chef/Cook) modifier for any food-based skill checks including cooking(I.E. to identify poisoned food, make sure ingredients are safe/ripe, and etc. )

Foodon Toughness: Foodon Fighters have a tough exterior and know how to use it. Foodon Fighters use their Con modifier instead of their Str modifier for attack and damage rolls.

Power Topping: Foodon Fighters may choose from a list of Power Toppings to gain abilities while in Foodon Form. A Power Topping is chosen at 2nd level and every following even level.

Chili-Flakes: This Power Topping adds 1d6 Fire damage to Unarmed Strikes. This Power Topping may be selected multiple times and adds and additional 1d6 of fire damage each time it is selected.

Bacon Bits: This Power Topping adds Natural Armor to the Foodon Fighter's Foodon Form. 5 Natural Armor Each time this Power Topping is selected. This Power Topping may only be selected once every 6th level, starting at level 6. (6th, 12th, 18th, and etc.)

Cheese Stuffed: This Power Topping allows the Foodon Fighter to add their Con Modifier to damage an additional time each time this Power Topping is selected.

Buttered: This Power Topping increases movement speed by 10 ft and adds +2 misc bonus to escape artist checks each time this Power Topping is selected. This Power Topping may be selected multiple times.

Heat Resistance: Foodon Fighters can take the heat of their kitchen. Foodon Fighters gain Fire Resistance 5 at 2nd level that improves to Fire Resistance 10 at 5th level, Fire Resistance 15 at 8th, Fire Resistance 20 at 12th, and Fire Immunity at 15th level.

Damage Reduction: Foodon Fighters have transformed into their Foodon Form many times in their life. At this point their body becomes strong enough to resist damage of all forms. This improves over time.

Cooking with Fire: A Foodon Fighter's cooking becomes so passionate that it heals those who eat it. The cooking heals HP equal to half the Foodon Fighter's Profession (Chef/Cook) skill check when cooking. The Foodon Fighter's cooking also gives a +2 morale bonus to attack rolls made for 1 hour/level. Upon eating a Foodon Fighter's food non-Foodon Fighters must make a Will Save or become addicted to that Foodon Fighter's cooking. DC equal to the Foodon Fighter's Profession (Chef/Cook) skill check when the meal was made.

Those addicted to a Foodon Fighter's cooking must make a DC 20 Fortitude save or take 1d4 Con Damage at the start of eating food not cooked by the Foodon Fighter. All food eaten that was not made by the Foodon Fighter is treated as if rolled with a natural 1 and all food eaten that was made by the Foodon Fighter is treated as if rolled with a natural 20. This addiction lasts for a full week.

Greater Foodon Form: When a Foodon Fighter enters rage, the morale bonus to her Dexterity and Constitution increases to +6 and the morale bonus on her Will saves increases to +3. The Foodon Fighter now gains 3 hit points per Hit Dice.

Relaxed Foodon Form: A barbarian no longer becomes fatigued at the end of her Foodon Form.

Powerful Foodon Form: When a Foodon Fighter enters Foodon Form, the morale bonus to her Dexterity and Constitution increases to +10 and the morale bonus on her Will saves increases to +5. The Foodon Fighter now gains 5 hit points per Hit Dice.
