Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Hit points are horrendously incorrect, attack and damage calculations are wrong, and there is some discrepancy between the actions and the legendary actions. Please read the 5e Creature Design Guide.

One of the earliest drawn pictures of a firedrake.

A firedrake is one of the most common members of the drake family. They are often confused with dragons or dracons, due to their fire-themed attacks and their close evolutionary relation, along with a common draconic language.

Subspecies. There are three subspecies of firedrakes: heatdrakes, flamedrakes, and pyrodrakes. They are distinguished by the number of hit points they have, and their subspecies determines their armor class (use the table below). There is no particular difference between each type of firedrake, and the only purpose of each subspecies is for social reasons and to find their AC.

Hit Points Subspecies AC
37-51 Heatdrake 12
52-60 Flamedrake 13
61-75 Pyrodrake 14
