Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: "Awakening" seems to be incomplete? What enemies must be killed, can it be 25 sheep? What is this draconic avatar that must be defeated? What does the ritual involve and what are its costs? What is the weapon's "next form"? In fact I'm not sure how this item can be used in a campaign at all, it doesn't seem worth seeking out.

Fire Borne is a living non-sentient sword that is bound to the current wielder, but can be used by others at a great cost. The sword is one of two blades that are the same weapon but exist at the same time from different time periods. Fire Borne is one of two legendary blades that are eternally interwoven through time. The polar opposite of Fire Borne is Frost Mourne. Fire Borne is empowered by the artifact known as "The Fires of Life", and these fires are imbued into the blade inately and releases it to its present form and allows the blade to ascend into its more exponentially powerful forms. In its present state the blade is not much in appearance, nor functionality, because it is in a newly revived status due to recently acquiring "The Fires of Life" which awakened the previously dead sword. The current master of the blade is Atlas: The Black Titan, his whereabouts are unknown at this time but murmurs of his doings spread across the lands like "wildfire" as he wields the ultimate form of the blade......

This -1 Flaming Bastard Sword, can only be wielded with two hands. In its present state the Flaming Enchantment on this weapon will only deal a Reduced value of 1d4 Fire Damage. The weight of this weapon is 100 pounds, but for the current master of this weapon ignores the weight value entirely. The weapon is currently to the bound to the master, and the master is the first person to obtain this weapon and will only change ownership if the master has died or willingly gives up the weapon. To obtain the more powerful forms you must first obtain this weapon in this form.

Awakening: To progress this weapon into its' next form you must kill 25 enemies, and you must engage in a 24 hour ritual which invokes the summoning of a draconic avatar which the master of the blade has to defeat. (The DM must decide on how powerful the foe, but this foe cannot be too strong for the wielder).
