A tribe of strong, fast nomads from a far western Continent, hit hard but with gentle hearts. Red hair and Red eyes, these tribesmen are easy to spot.

Finalist Strength: You gain a +5 bonus to Strength checks made to break or move objects.
Finalist Jolt: When you make an Athletics check to jump, you gain +5 and are always considered to have taken a running start.

Trigger: You hit a creature with a melee attack.
Effect: The attack deals extra damage equal to your Strength modifier, and you push the target a number of squares equal to your Constitution modifier.

Living on the Dark Continent is hard, the beasts are huge and the terrain unforgiving, but as a Finalist, you are the kings of this land. Though more civilized and technically advanced races made you into slaves, your sheer strength will never be rivalled.

Play a Finalist if you want...

  • to be part of a race that has lost its sense of home and has a history of slavery
  • to be able to ask "what is a wall?" and just walk through them
  • To be a member of a race that favors the barbarian, monk and fighter classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

Finalists are large humans that are most recognisable by their red hair and red-brown eyes; they have a tall strong build and tan skin. Finalists are strong no matter their size; their strength comes from places they themselves know not of. Although strong and dominant in the Dark Continent they are gentle and loving of the environment and for small or weakened creatures. The tribes are always helping each other and there are rarely fights amongst them, they have a true sense of “what’s mine is yours” among their people.

Playing a Finalist[edit]

As a finalist you are always happy to see another of your lost brethren, you are a rare race spread out across the world as either slaves, wanderers or loyal followers of those who freed you. You have a longing for the home that you may never see again, the trip there is long and hard but one day you hope there will be a free passage between the continents. Loyalty is your primary virtue, you die before betrayal and you will sacrifice your body to protect those that have helped or are kind to you. You dislike crowds and conversation with strangers, but if they show acceptance of all and love for nature will find it easy to earn respect and help from a Finalist. As a finalist, another humanoids use is the least of your concern, you will protect the weak and stay true to your friends, and there are no secrets between you and friends. Although ashamed of your history as a slave, you find that from this experience you have a duty to prevent others from falling to the same misfortune, you have a hate against slavery. Finalists are lost people and don't often have a goal of their own, they instead act as spiritual and physical help to their friend goals and interests.

When your finalist character levels up and gains a class utility power, you may instead take a finalist utility power of the same level or lower.
