Felinus[edit]

The felinus were created at the beginning of Versumian history. The Goddess of Darkness, Nyarda, created them in her own image. Being followers of darkness, they are usually more hard-headed and chaotic. They also tend to see other races as inferior to them.

Physical Description[edit]

Felinus look much like normal cats, but are much larger in size, around four feet in height when standing on their back legs. Beyond this, their paws have obtained opposable thumbs so they are able to hold things with ease.

Felinus Names[edit]

Felinus Traits[edit]

Mischievous, lovable kitties.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma scores increase by 2.
Age. Felinus become adults by age 10. Most live to around 40 or 50 on average.
Alignment. Felinus span many alignments and ideals. Their tendency toward thinking themselves the best and their more chaotic activities leads to chaotic alignments being very common.
Size. Your size is based on your subrace.
Speed. You are able to shift between the four legged stance of your ancestors and the 2 legged stance of your race with ease. Your speed is 25 feet on 2 legs, and 35 feet on all 4. You cannot take any other attack action besides bite while on all fours. You can try to use a weapon in your mouth with disadvantage while in this position. Using your bite does not impose disadvantage. Dropping to all fours and getting up to two legs requires 5 feet of movement. You can also use 5 feet of movement to stand up on all four legs if you are prone, but cannot change to your two legged stance in the same turn.
Fey. Your creature type is fey, rather than humanoid.
Animalistic Agility. Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Scent. You gain advantage on all perception rolls using a sense of smell. You do not gain advantage on checks using other senses.
Darkvision. Thanks to ages of adjusting to the night’s sky with feline kin, your race has the boon of contending with darkness. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
High and Mighty. You are clearly the better and stronger race, and as such, you have learned ways to make others do what you want with little convincing. You gain proficiency in the Persuasion skill.
Biting Jaws. Due to your feline heritage, you are able to bite on foes who get in your way. Your teeth count as a weapon that you are proficient with. If you hit with your teeth, the target takes piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Gataran. You can also speak with animals as if you shared a language.
Subrace. You can choose a subrace.

Small Breed[edit]

You are a small breed of cat, such as a burmese, siamese, or some other small breed.

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Size. As a small breed, you are no more than three feet tall when standing on their back legs. Your size is small.
Ever Vigilant. As a small cat, you are used to keeping an eye out for trouble. This can be for a desire to spot smaller animals to hunt or for knowing when danger is coming so you can flee. You gain proficiency in Investigation and Perception.

Medium Breed[edit]

You are a medium breed of cat, such as an abyssinian, bobtail, or some other medium breed.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Size. As a medium breed, you are no more than five feet tall when standing on their back legs. Your size is medium.
Excellent Skill. As a medium breed of cat, you excel at running, leaping, and climbing. Your jumping distance is doubled and you gain a climb speed of 30 feet. Additionally, when you take the Dash action, you can move an additional 10 feet.

Large Breed[edit]

You are a large breed of cat, such as a maine coon, persian, or some other large breed.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Size. As a large breed, you are no more than seven feet tall when standing on your back legs. Your size is medium.
Natural Guardian. As a large breed, you have proven yourself to be powerful and intimidating. Once per turn, you can use a bonus action to roar at a creature you can see within 30 feet of you. That creature becomes marked as your prey. If the marked creature attempts to attack a creature other than you and can see you, it has disadvantage on that attack. If it attempts to attack another creature within 5 feet of you, it must make a Charisma saving throw (use your Charisma modifier to determine the DC). On a failure, it is forced to make its attack against you instead.
