This class was created as part of the Player Equivalent CR variant rule using the Naruto: Shinobi (5e Class) class, and Genin (5e Background) background, and as such is not follow traditional CR.

Damage Resistances Poison, non-magical bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing.
Damage Immunities poison; bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks
Condition Immunities frightened
Senses darkvision 120 ft.; passive Perception 19
Languages Common
Challenge 17 (18,000 XP)

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the toad fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Chakra. The toad has 38 chakra points, which he can expend. All spend Chakra Points are regained at the end of a long rest.


Multiattack. The toad can make 3 frog kata attacks or 2 other action.

Frog Kata. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 4) magical slashing damage.

Starch Syrup Gun (10 Chakra). Ranged Spell Attack: +11 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one target. Hit: the target is restrained for 1 minute. They may attempt a DC 19 Strength saving throw at the beginning of each of their turns, ending this effect early on a success.

Toad Spit (12 Chakra). The toad sprays oil across a 15 foot radius area.

Genjutsu (5 Chakra). Any creatures of the toad’s choice within a 70 foot radius that is not deaf must succeed a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the toad spends an additional amount of chakra and they are effected by one of the following:

  • The target is blinded. Costs 7 chakra.
  • The target is deafened. Costs 5 chakra.
  • The target is frightened. Costs 6 chakra.
  • The target is affected by the confusion spell. Costs 8 chakra.
  • The target is restrained. Costs 8 chakra.
  • The target is paralyzed. Costs 12 chakra.

While not necessarily the highest ranking among the Toads of Mount Myoboku, elder toads are both masters and teachers of Sage Mode, having trained in it for decades, if not centuries, along with other esoteric powers.
