Drider, True (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Those who fail the tests of, or manage to annoy the goddess Lolth find themselves transformed into these abominations, Half drow Half spider, all beast. Though that is the usual happening, that driders lose their mind when the transformation is set into motion and are therfore subject to the control of lolth herself there are the few out there who take to the transformation in a more powerful way, these True drider are their own creatures, keeping their class and memories from before the transformation but continuing on life as their new form allows.

Driders possess the upper bodies of drow, and the lower bodies of giant spiders. Their drow halves retain all of their typical physical features, Including black skin resembling polished obsidian, stark white or pale yellow hair, and very pale eyes that retain the same color shades as regular drow eyes would. The spider half of a drider is typically black and chitinous, propelling the creature along the ground atop eight wicked, spindly spider legs. Due to the space taken up by their spider halves, most driders tend to be up to 8 ft tall, and almost as wide.
Driders are drow servants of Lolth who undergo a painful process in order to be more like their dread queen. Failure in the procedure usually results in death. Most are evil, but rarely, a drider may break this role… A drider appears much like a centaur, except exclusively for drow and with a spider's body rather than a horse's. Because of this, driders have a poisonous bite and can shoot webbing at their foes, as well as ignoring many movement restrictions
Driders mostly live independently or with others of their kind in order to be more in touch with the spiders they worship.
