Døkkálfr (5e Race)

Døkkálfr or Dark/Black Elves are one of the many races which inhabit the worlds which sit upon the branches of Yggdrasil.
These Elves are primarily dark in colour and primarily live within earthen homes.
Dark elves in Norse mythology are the elves that live under the earth. They are called Dökkálfar in the Scandinavian tongue. They dwell in Svartalfheim which is realm just under Midgard. It is one of those realms that is debatable as this is not one of the nine worlds in some people’s’ minds. But it a realm that is perhaps part of another.
All elves are kind of demi-god in status and the Dark Elves are no different. They have incredible powers and the dark elves had powers that as time went by became more malevolent in nature than benevolent like the light elves that dwell in the realm above Midgard. The dark elves are described initially as swarthy. But as time goes by you get the pale red-eyed version that is common today in most people’s minds. They were also connected to the realm of Helheim and the dead.
These dark elves were often connected to wrong things happening. From tangled hair to strokes, they were the cause of these things. They have dark and strange magic to them.
Often times the naming of these beings are done by affiliation with where they were born, events of their birth, or even thoughts of the parents at the time. Salkin Elemmiire, for example, means "Dancing Star". Meanwhile, Su'aco de' maral, means "Wind of Storm". These names do not follow the ever-popular, gender-based naming, done by most humanoid races.
Dark-skinned and denied by societies hypocrisy, these Elves have learned to take anything with a pound of salt and hate being looked down upon. They instead make themselves better than anyone at a simple ideal or task.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Age. Døkkálfr grow to physical maturity sometime in their late 50's, however, one is not considered mature until their late 400's.
Alignment. Døkkálfr are typically very chaotic, doing anything to achieve their goal or what they believe is right.
Size. Døkkálfr are still elves, while a majority reaching over 6ft tall, there are some that never reach 6ft. Their slender physique allows their size to remain medium while having a height advantage.
Speed. Your base speed is 35 feet, and is not affected by rough earthen terrain.
You may choose between Tremorsense and Superior Darkvision.. You may only choose 1 of the 2.
Earthen Affinity. You gain advantage on Nature Checks.
Long Lived. If your character is over 400 years old, you gain advantage on all history checks and gain an extra language. However, you gain disadvantage on Acrobatics or Athletics checks. (Dependent on which score is lower.)
Youthful Vigor. If your character is under 400 years old, you gain advantage on either Acrobatics or Athletics (Dependent on which is higher). However, you gain disadvantage on history checks.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Undercommon.
