Corpse Eater (3rd Variant) (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (longsword), Very Rare (Attunement Required)
The Feral Eye: A wide bladed katana, fitted with a brass hilt and a guard resembling sharp teeth. The habaki has inscribed in it the symbol for hunger, a row of sharp teeth engraved in bronze. It glows bright red in the dark. The eye from the 2nd Variant remains, however, the sword has split open to reveal a flesh like interior, the eye reverting to a more feral and blood driven form. This sword was found in a forest inhabited by cannibals, which the tribe was worshiping as a sort of god or deity. Those attuned will hear the words "Eat. Consume. Blood. Feast." in their sleep, no matter what type of dream they are having. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls while attuned to this sword. The blade also deals 1d8 necrotic damage on a hit.
The Gates of Gloom: Those who directly look at the eye (Action by the user for this to take effect) must make a DC 15 wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the target is stunned for one round. This ability can only be used 3 times per dawn.
Cursed: While attuned to this weapon, the only way to remove it from the user is with the remove curse or wish spells. After combat, the user must make a DC 15 wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the target is compelled to take a bite and consume whatever was killed, whether that be an enemy or a fellow party member. This effect does not appear to take place if the user fights against constructs or undead.
