Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Bards get subclass features at 3rd, 6th, and 14th levels. Features need to reflect that.

College of Mastery[edit]

"'Bard subclass"' Bards sit behind everyone and watch and inspire, who decided that? Who decided that bards had to sit back and support. The College of Mastery is the solution for bards who prefer a more hands on response to their enemies and wish to quickly dispatch their foes with not only their voice, but also their weapons. This specific path within the college can only be taken by aasimir (any kind) and demons for with great power, comes even greater mastery.

Alter feature

As a bard of the college of mastery the 1st lesson you were ever taught was alter feature. Starting at 3rd level, you can change one feature of the body (at one time) (eg. if eyes are targeted the player can chose one eye or both eyes. But not two different features eg. hair and eyes) this spell does not allow the alteration of limb length. This skill can be used at anytime for any length of time and does not have a usage count. When entering battle alter feature wears off until the battle concludes and the user uses the skill again

Bard's luck level 3 Once per day reroll one failed charisma save

Divine Concentration (Aasimir) Level 6 Your mind is not clouded with irrelevant and external thoughts. You are a perfectionist with pinpoint precision in everything you do. Gain a +3 to hit and a +3 in performance. When using divine concentration, roll a bardic insiration die 1(d4+cha modifier) and add it to the damage your attack this round. Gain proficiency in bows, spears, shortswords and cross bows. Can be used 3 times per long rest

Demons' fire (Demon) Level 6 As a demon of the college of mastery you have learnt how not to be used by your anger and bloodlust as a weapon. For a short time gain full control over your anger and bloodlust - transforming into a weapon of supreme accuracy and strength. Gain a +3 to hit. Increase your AC permanently by 2. When using Demons' fire, roll a bardic insiration die 1(d4+cha modifier) and add it to the damage your attack this round. Gain proficency in daggers, two hand fighting and great weapon fighting. Can be used 3 times per long rest

Heavenly beauty (Aasimir) level 12 As one of the most beautiful and divine races to walk the earth you are irresistible to passerbys. Once per long rest use your heavenly beauty to gain +10 (+char modifier) on all persuasion checks for 1 hour. If within this hour a battle is began every creature must make a Charisma saving throw of 15 or be instantly charmed it cannot move or attack while charmed. On the creatures every turn after the first 2 rounds on a failed save, the creature can make a charisma saving throw of 13 to break the charm. Once per long rest roll a bardic inspiratrion die 1(d4+cha modifier) if a nat 4 is rolled Heavenly beauty can be used again.

Hellish Aura (Demon) level 12 As a demon you possess an unexplainable naturally intimidating aura. One per long rest use your Hellish aura to gain +10 (+char modifier) on all intimidation checks for 1 hour. If within this hour a battle is began every creature must make a Charisma saving throw of 15 or be instantly induced into a state of extreme fear and cannot move or attack. On the creatures every turn after the first 2 rounds on a failed save, the creature can make a charisma saving throw of 13 to fight through the fear. Once per long rest roll a bardic inspiratrion die 1(d4+cha modifier) if a nat 4 is rolled Hellish Aura can be used again.

Alter identity level 14 You have mastered alter feature. The number of features you can change has incremented by one.

Bow of Artemis (Aasimir) level 15 Summon the power of Lady Artemis into your divine hands. For three rounds wield the mighty Bow of Artemis, Goddess of the hunt, take aim with the bow enlaced with her power shining gold and silver dealing 5(d10+profiency bonus) per round can be used on enemies up to 100ft away. Bow of Artemis can be summoned two times per long rest and cannot be wielded by anyone not the summoner.

Hades' Flame (Demon) level 15 Summon the power of Lord Hades into your cursed grip. For three rounds wield the Greatsword of Hades 5(d12 + profiency bonus) OR split the greatsword's power into the daggers of Hades 5(d8+profiency bonus) per round. The daggers/greatsword of Hades can be summoned two times per long rest and cannot be wielded by anyone not the wielder.

Unorthadox weaponary level 18 You have now mastered the art of dual wielding. You can now pair all one handed weapons with a dagger allowing for an offhand attack (bonus action). Now gain a bonus attack if you pair your weapon up with a dagger of infused power. Roll a bardic inspiration die 1(d4+cha modifier) at the start of a fight use a reaction to infuse your offhand weapon with power. (Damage is equal to 2(dbardic inspiration die roll). Can be used for four times per long rest and the dagger of infused power returns to be your normal dagger.

Divine blessing level 20 The last lesson one must learn is grace. After mastering the arts of combat the bard must learn to bestow their divine blessing upon other souls. Gain the ability to charm up to 8 people at one time using an instrument as a concentration point in song. If you have a proficiency in the instument being used they must roll a 16 charisma saving throw otherwise be charmed for 4 hours. Otherwise they must roll a 13 charisma saving throw. If party members hear this song, they are inspired. They can reroll failed checks twice. Roll a bardic inspiration die at 3(d4 + Cha modifier). All party members that hear the gain this as a bonus to their attacks for 2 hours. You can use Divine Blessing once per long rest. Charisma score is permanently increased by 2.

Unholy Angel Both holy and unholy blood courses through your veins. If you are a variant Aasimir bard that is a combination of Aasimir and Demon then they gain both sets of benefits. However they keep the same number of uses between the pair. (eg. 1 Bow of Artemis and 1 Hades' Flame, 2 Hades' Flame 0 Bow of Artemis) You are to pick from half of the proficiencies (eg. Gain proficienies in bows, shortswords and two weapon fighting) They do not obtain double benefits for modifer additions (eg. gain plus 3 to hit stays plus 3 to hit, not plus 6)
