Bladed armor is a suit of plate armor that has been outfitted with menacing, razor-sharp blades. It is also known as "dragonslayer armor", due to legends of foolhardy dragons swallowing a hero wearing bladed armor whole, only to die a painful death as its bladed meal kills it from within. Bladed armor is not as practical as ordinary plate, however, as the blades have an unfortunate tendency to catch blows on its blades, turning what would be a glancing blow on a suit of plate armor into a solid hit on the wearer. This is represented by the armor having a lower AC than bog-standard plate.
Special. Whenever a creature within 5 feet of you misses you with a melee attack while you are wearing this suit of armor, that creature takes 1 point of slashing damage. A creature that grapples you is in for a world of hurt - a creature that grapples you takes 1d6 slashing damage, and takes an additional 1d6 slashing damage at the start of each of its turns for the duration of the grapple. A creature that swallows you takes 2d6 slashing damage at the start of each of its turns while you are swallowed, as the blades cause grievous, profusely bleeding wounds to the creature's innards.
