Blade Saint[edit]

Often mistaken for paladins, blade saints live righteously and uphold goodness wherever they can. They do not devote themselves to any one deity, and are not blessed with significant spiritual powers. Blade saints dedicate their lives to perfecting their swordsmanship and unlocking the full potential of the body and mind. They are able to commune with the celestial plane and borrow power from the deities that occupy it.

Making a Blade Saint[edit]

Focused on DPS at medium and close range. Can also be used as field control support.

Abilities: Wisdom to enhance your Blade Skills, Strength to crush your enemies, and Dexterity if you don't want to get hit.

Races: Any race wanting to focus on DPS.

Alignment: Any non-evil

Starting Gold: 4d12×10 gp (average starting gold. 260 gp).

Starting Age: Moderate

Class Features[edit]

The Blade Saint utilizes the celestial plane to summon and control spiritual weapons that are imbued with holy energy. All of the following are class features of the Blade Saint.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Blade Saints are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light armor, and shields (except tower shields).

Bonus Feat: At 1st level, a Blade Saint may select either Combat Reflexes or Deflect Arrows. At level 6 he may choose Mobility or Reflex Set. At level 10 he may choose Greater Critical or Unerring Weapon.

Tactful Thinking (EX): At the 2nd level, a Blade Saint adds their Wisdom Modifier to their damage rolls.

Blessed Harmony (EX): At the 2nd Level, a Blade Saint adds their Wisdom Modifier to their Ac.

Divine Health (EX): At the 5th level, a Blade Saint gains immunity to all diseases, including supernatural and magical diseases.

Enhanced Durability (EX): At the 5th Level, a Blade Saint adds their Wisdom Modifier to their Hp every Level.

Savage Critical (EX): At the 6th level, A Blade Saint gains the Savage Critical feat.

Saint's Grace (SU): At the 13th level, a Blade Saint gains a protective aura of divine light granting +2 to AC and 1 Fast Heal.

Spirit Blade (SU): Summon weapon(s) from the celestial plane. Gains additional benefits through class progression.

Spirit Blade 1: Choose two weapon types (exclude ranged weapons) and gain immediate proficiency. As a swift action, hold out your hand and summon your weapon of choice. As and immediate action, banish weapon to celestial plane.

Spirit Blade 2: You summoned weapon(s) reach gains 10 ft. Summoned weapons are one hit die greater. (Ex. 1d6->1d8).

Spirit Blade 3: An additional weapon may be summoned and treated as a second combat phase. The weapon orbits the summoner.

Spirit Blade 4: An additional weapon may be summoned and treated as a third combat phase. The weapon orbits the summoner. Your summoned weapon(s) deal 1+Wisdom modifier holy damage.

Spirit Blade 5: Your summoned weapon(s) will defend you creating an attack of opportunity when attacked, the attack of opportunity is made before you are hit. You summoned weapon(s) reach gain an additional 10 ft.

Blade Skill (SP): Manipulate you weapon(s) to perform extraordinary feats. 1/2 lvl + Wisdom modifier uses per day.

Hallowed Blade: Starting at the 4th level, Blade Saint's may strike your blade into the ground with holy thunder dealing 3d8; half holy, half thunder damage, plus an additional amount of damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. Damage all foes within 5 foot radius. It also functions as the Dispel Magic spell, with your Blade Saint level as the caster level

Blade Ruination: Starting at the 8th level, Blade Saint's may summon 4 blades that lunge in a straight line. This attack is effectively a Breath Weapon in the form of a 60 foot line, doing 4d10 Sacred damage to any living creature, friend or foe, caught in the line, plus an additional amount of damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. This attack applies to any creature caught in the line. You do not need to target any particular opponent to use this ability, but the line is always 60 feet in one direction. Anyone taking damage may reflex save for half damage.

Blade Storm: Starting at the 12th level, Blade Saint's may use any number of blade skill points to summon that many additional weapons for 1d4 + Wisdom modifier rounds. The weapons are treated as additional combat phases. The weapons orbit the summoner.
