Physical Description[edit]

While Battle Born are similar in appearance to any Medium sized race (creator's choice), they are darker in skin color and appear heavily scarred, as if they have suffered many mortal wounds(even if this is not the case, they like to heavily pierce their bodies). Battle Born have a wild look in their eyes, like a man in the thick of battle. The scars on their bodies do not appear to hamper them in any way.

History[edit]

Battle Born are formed from the chaos and destruction of the battlefield. They care only for war. Battle Born are natural warriors and are known for their durability, surviving wounds that bring down their human allies. Some Battle Born are reported as having being struck down only to rise and continue to fight while, as the reports say, "Ignoring wounds through almost pure rage and willpower until not even willpower can keep their hearts beating." Battle Born are known for slaughtering small armies almost single-handedly. Despite sounding like berserkers, many Battle Born are expert tacticians and generals, laying down tactics and controlling the battle with but a few words.

Battle Born Traits[edit]

Rivers of blood. Piles of gore. Endless slaughter of enemies. All in a day's work for the Battle Born.
Ability Score Increase. Strength +2, Constitution +1
Age. Battle Born do not have childhoods, instead being "born" adults. However, they usually spend the first 10 years in either a mindless rage or an almost blank stupor, afterwards suddenly seeming to gain a mind. They typically spend some time in some profession before they suddenly start lusting for battle and adventure, usually around 20 years of age. They can live to be 300, but typically die before then, usually during the first 30 years.
Alignment. Battle Born tend towards Chaotic Neutral, though a few can wrench themselves away from the need to fight and take other alignments.
Size. battle Born average 5-6' in height and 150-210 lbs in weight. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Warring Thoughts. Your thoughts sometimes contradict themselves. As such, some may call you mentally unstable. You are vulnerable to psychic damage and have disadvantage on all Charisma checks except Intimidation checks.
Battle-master. as long as you are at full health you get advantage on attack rolls
Undying Warrior. As long as you have 1 hit point, you recover 5 hit points abt the beginning for your turn. This ability increases by 1 every five levels
Warrior By Trade. Choose a weapon type (long sword, battleaxe, dagger, etc.). You are proficient with that weapon type. Whenever you use a weapon of that type in battle, you gain +1 to attack and damage rolls.
Law Abiding Worshiper. Battle Born follow a set of rules set in act by their clan leader, rules that if they disobey mean they are chased out and lose the support of their clan and their clansmen, for whom they thrive and then the undying Warrior trait is reversed until their mistake is corrected . rules are:

-None Left Behind, which states that if a comrade dies or is injured in battle, they are not to be left and forgotten but retrieved and properly sent of to the after life.

-Never Fight At Full Strength, causing them to restrain themselves in battle. this helps allies keep morale.
Lead the charge. Lead the charge is activated when a Battle Born takes point in formation or fights alone. Lead the charge gives a +5 to strength rolls and move speed and allows then to stun all opponents with a stunning yell that causes then to miss their next turn.
Languages. You can read, speak, and write Common and one Exotic language of your choice.
