The Ascended[edit]

“Ascending is a 50/50 chance of going through the worst thing in your entire life with almost no end goal, or being acknowledged and thanked for your loyalty.”

An Ascended is a person chosen by one of the gods to becomes the god's representative either by going through a trial for the right to receive their divine blood, or chosen to receive the god's divine blood due to a lifetime of loyalty to said god or their teachings. For example, Tyr, the god of justice may choose for someone to become their representative due to a lifetime as an officer protecting the peace. There aren't many Ascended people living in the world due to the stress that the divine blood puts on the body. Many people die while going through the process of merging blood with a god but if you do, you will be given great power.

Physical Description[edit]

There's not much of a description as to what Ascended people look like. Their races differ, from being chosen Goliaths to being chosen Halflings. The only thing that is different physically from their old self is an ascended’s eyes turn pure white.

Society[edit]

Ascended never interact with other ascended people due to the lack of them and due to the fact that the gods can only have one representative at a time.

Ascended Names[edit]

Think names of those in mythology. For example:

Male: Sun Wukong, Ares, Hephaestus, Heracles

Female: Athena, Artemis, Venus, Amaterasu

Ascended Traits[edit]

A mortal choosen to gain the power that could shake the heavens itself.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution increases by 1.
Age. Ascended human stop aging once they ascended
Alignment. The gods gave you the power but you can choose your own path
Size. Your size is the same from before your Ascended.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Divine Blood. Divine Blood is now running through your body and now better off they most mortals. Pick one of the Divine Blood ability score increases
God's representative. Ascended People creature type is celestial for the purpose of spells and effects. In addition, you are filled with the Knowledge of the god you representative making you proficient in Religion
Divine Blessing. Your gain the power of the heavens and the power fight to against most magical effects. You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Pray. Ascended people don't need to sleep. Instead, they enter a state of praying, remaining conscious, for 4 hours a day. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Languages. You can speak, read and write common, celestial, and one language of your choice

Divine Blood Ability Score Increases[edit]

Your ability scores increase based on the Divine Domain of the god that chose you. The divine blood now flowing through your body has given you much power include an increase in your stats depending. Your body has now become of a god making your body stronger, your mind sharper and your presence glow like the light of the heavens above.

Knowledge: Your Intelligence score increases by 2.

love: Your Charisma score increases by 2.

Nature: Your Wisdom score increases by 2.

Trickery: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

War: Your Strength score increases by 2.

Skilled. You are given the power to learn two skills out of the list. You have proficiency in two skills of Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, Religion.
