Archosaurian[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

A humanoid race born with crocodillian like traits, known for their great strength and ferocity in battle.

Archosaurians, or Tiacauh as they are known in some regions, resemble humans with pointed ears and a scaly crocodilian tail. Many of them have yellow eyes, and their hair often comes in shades of green. Their slender forms hide great strength and durability, and even the most unassuming archosaurian can lay an enemy low with their powerful bite and a great sweep of their tail.

History[edit]

Mostly being found in the jungles of Sargon, archosaurians have always been a traditional race, often at the cost of technological advances. Leaders of the various tribes, or chieftains as they are called, are always decided through physical violence. The celebration and resulting brawl, known as the "Mahuizzotia" is when all the worthy archosaurian tribes gather together for a massive all out fist fight to decide the great chieftain. This great chieftain is comparable to a king, his or her word becoming law until the next Mahuizzotia where the most impressive warriors will gather again to challenge the old great chief and begin the cycle anew. Their language of Sargonian is similar to tribal languages found in the Amazon region.

Society[edit]

Archosaurian society is based upon physical prowess and strength alone. Disagreements and the election of leaders are typically settled through a martial duel, going until one competitor is beaten into submission and, in some cases, death. Most archosaurians live in tribes of various sizes in the swamplands of Acahualla, these tribes usually maintaining outside contact, but not much more than that. Apart from physical strength, archosaurians have immense pride in their tails, of which many fights have been caused. To this day, many "Scholars" like to "Debate" which kind of tail is superior, skinny or thick. Because of this, most outsiders are quite wary of archosaurians, with the tribes being known as impulsive and quick-tempered.

Archosaurian Names[edit]

Names for both males and females are often simplistic. though it is not unheard of for some to be influenced by foreign cultures and the outside world as a whole, choosing to adopt a more "civilized" name.

Male: Tamir, Murknak, Uzgz, Lurgob, Dulok

Female: Uromesh, Mogdrol, Agubu, Oran, Khatrn

Archosaurian Traits[edit]

Humanoid crocodillians with ferocious spirits.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2 and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Age. Archosaurians have a similar lifespan to other races and are typically mature at 18, with some late bloomers taking a few extra years to fully mature.
Alignment. Many describe archosaurians as chaotic. While they seem to naturally gravitate to impulsive actions, most are good-natured though there are those that are more wicked by nature.
Size. Archosaurian height isn't recorded very well though from recorded examples of both males and females, they can range from barely 4'6" to a maximum height of 5'10". Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet and you have a base swimming speed of 20ft.
Robust. Archosaurians are a hardy race and are blessed with a resistance to poison damage, and have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned or contracting diseases.
Bite. You have the bite force of a crocodile, your mouth a natural weapon which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Tail. Being the object of great pride for Archosaurians, its only natural that they use their tails in combat. As a bonus action, you can make an attack using Strength with your tail against a Large or smaller creature. If the attack hits, it deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage and the creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus. You can only use this feature an amount of times equal to your Strength modifier, regaining all use after finishing a long rest.
Languages. You can read, speak, and write Common and Sargonian.
