Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Medium is probably a fair bit better than the other two, with heavy being pretty lack luster as is.

Animated Sword[edit]

It's a sword PC. For when you want to have a party made of magic items. For when the party splits

Physical Description[edit]

You're a talking floating weapon. You might be fancy and gilded, or plain and worn, but you're a still weapon.

History[edit]

Long ago someone thought it would be a good idea to make thinking weapons. While initially very successful, as their use started to expand, warrior labor unions pushed for them to be outlawed so as to maintain their market dominance. This has lead to weapons being incredibly rare.

While their making was a closely guarded secret, rumors said that the sacrifice of a living being was required. However, the exact process used in their creation is lost to time, so all know examples of them are very old.

Society[edit]

Their numbers are too few and too spread out for any cohesive society to form, instead animated weapons tend to adopt the societies of their creator's.

Animated Weapon Names[edit]

Despite most being effectively an animated phallus, most animated weapons don't have genders. Their names tend to title's given to them by their creator's or wielders.

Name: Stabby, Smashy, Slicy, Cutter, Amanda, Excalibur,

In addition, the form you choose cannot have the special property. You're a Weapon. When you take the attack action you can make attack with the weapon of the form you are currently occupying, i.e. a long sword attack if you are currently a longsword. Also, while in the hands of a creature, you can decide to give advantage or disadvantage to their roll, but if you do, you can not attack with this feature until you flee from the prey, unless the creature is voluntary.
