Alicorn (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
A winged horse with a single horn upon its head, often symbols of beauty and peace among men. They stand at the height of a regular horse, large enough for a human to ride on, though many would take great offense to this. A large unicorn horn grows out of their forehead, regal and sharp like a royal dagger, while their manes and tail are lush and sparkling, their fur colored in ways not normal for a horse like pure white and gold. At their sides are a pair of wings with a span of 6 feet with a far bit of muscle on their bodies, in addition to their regal and radiant appearance
Long ago the three equine nations of the unicorns, pegasi, and regular horses lived in harmony. Legend tells of a time where no hunger, strife, or crime was known to these nations - before the dark times. Everything changed when the unicorns elected a leader who was driven to madness, declaring the ancient alliances as heresy and declaring war upon the other nations. Only the alicorn, those gifted few who embodied the traits of all three nations, dared stand against the unicorns. In the single act of war in the history of the alicorn, they wiped out the unicorns and reclaimed the banner of peace among the world. The alicorn since have become a synonym for peace, a symbol of hope, a reminder of justice. Though they have become rare in the current world, the sight of an alicorn is always welcome.
There are very few alicorns left, and as a result, don't really have a society all on their own. Instead, they hang out with other ponies, earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns. Since they can do a myriad of things, including look awesome enough to rule an entire kingdom, these other ponies love them as companions, partners, and just straight-up friends.
