== Welcome to D&D Wiki! ==

;Welcome!
Hello Yanied, and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you are enjoying D&D Wiki and have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, we recommend you make sure your [[Special:Preferences|user preferences]] match your preferences.
;Questions:
If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's [[Help:Talk Pages|talk page]]. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on [[DnD Discussion]]s. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be asked [[User talk:Admin|here]]. If you need to contact another user, please use their talk page.
;Formatting
Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing Help:Editing] on Wikipedia (or even their [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Introduction Introduction] page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. [[Help:Portal]] also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.
;Community
A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of [[Help:Behavioral Policy|policies]] are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Civility civility] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Etiquette etiquette] when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our [[Help:Improving, Reviewing, and Removing Templates|removal process]]. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>) or by clicking on the signature icon ([[Image:Signature_icon.png]]). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community. Welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --[[User:SirSprinkles|SirSprinkles]] ([[User talk:SirSprinkles|talk]]) 18:46, 13 September 2017 (MDT)
==Request for Adminship?==
I've been thinking, Yanied... You've been around for a while now, you're a prolific editor, and your contributions are consistently helpful and high-quality. I get the impression that you'd do well as an administrator, and you'd be able to do a lot of good for our website if you were entrusted with administrator tools. Would you like me to nominate you for adminship? [[User:Quincy|Quincy]] ([[User talk:Quincy|talk]]) 22:57, 20 January 2019 (MST)
[[Category:Barnstar Recognition]]
:Oh, gee that sounds like a big responsibility. I'd like to better know the details of what an admin really does before I commit with any wrong idea. Otherwise, thanks, I'd be grateful for nomination!--[[User:Yanied|Yanied]] ([[User talk:Yanied|talk]]) 13:13, 21 January 2019 (MST)
::You can read about what admins do [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators here] on Wikipedia. In practice, on our wiki at least, it's not actually that big a responsibility - being an admin just means you're a "trusted user" and you have a bit more power than other users as a result. You don't really need to change what you're doing all that much. Take some time to consider it, at least. No pressure. [[User:Quincy|Quincy]] ([[User talk:Quincy|talk]]) 13:40, 21 January 2019 (MST)
:::Oh, cool. Then yeah, sure, I'd be happy to be nominated. Thanks!--[[User:Yanied|Yanied]] ([[User talk:Yanied|talk]]) 13:45, 21 January 2019 (MST)
::::I'm glad to hear it! Since you agreed, I've created a page for your nomination [[D&D Wiki:Requests for Adminship/Yanied|Here.]] [[User:Quincy|Quincy]] ([[User talk:Quincy|talk]]) 14:47, 21 January 2019 (MST)
:::::Oh wow, thanks. So I have to answer those questions, right?--[[User:Yanied|Yanied]] ([[User talk:Yanied|talk]]) 14:57, 21 January 2019 (MST)
::::::Yep, simple as that. [[User:Quincy|Quincy]] ([[User talk:Quincy|talk]]) 15:07, 21 January 2019 (MST)

I just want to say, great work on [[Litch (5e Race)]]. It was in a poor state when I tagged it 2 years ago and you really polished it up well. [[User:Marasmusine|Marasmusine]] ([[User talk:Marasmusine|talk]]) 11:38, 8 March 2019 (MST)
:Thanks! Means a lot hearing it from the one who tagged it--[[User:Yanied|Yanied]] ([[User talk:Yanied|talk]]) 11:43, 8 March 2019 (MST)
== Image Links Tip (You may find this useful?) ==

Hello Yanied, I noticed the last edit on your userpage where you said that didn't know how to link to image pages without creating a huge picture. When you're linking to images, you can change the output size of the image by, instead of simply using <nowiki>[[File:Example.jpg]]</nowiki> to link to an image, adding a vertical bar at the end of the link followed by how many pixels in size you want your image to be. For example, if you want to limit the size of an image to 200 pixels, you could use the link, <nowiki>[[File:Example.jpg|200px]]</nowiki>. Does that help? [[User:Quincy|Based Quincy]] ([[User talk:Quincy|talk]]) 19:28, 30 March 2019 (MDT)
:Thanks but I was thinking more along the lines of how it shows up on a watch list just as a link and there's no picture. I feel if there's a picture it just takes up a lot of room visually.--[[User:Yanied|Yanied]] ([[User talk:Yanied|talk]]) 20:30, 30 March 2019 (MDT)
Dude, I... I gotta say. For one, I dont know how to actually like, message people? so this is the best I got... Thank you. The Apocalypto class that I... well, abandoned months ago now. It is... immaculate. i love it. And I have you primarily, almost entirely you, to thank. So... Thank you. So much for fleshing out the bare husk I had tossed aside...
