[edit] The Xiaolong

[edit] Personality

The Xiaolong are serene, peaceful creatures. Unlike their Dragonborn cousins, they did not almost destroy their own race through war. A Xiaolong is more likely to walk away from a conflict than anything else. They are deeply spiritual and believe that everything around them has spirits that contribute to the natural balance, which they strive to protect. The Xaiolong live at a slow pace giving them plenty of time to become; scholars, artists, musicians, or at the highest order... a Monk.

[edit] Physical Description

Xiaolong share a resemblance to the Dragonborn race, however they are thin and long. They possess manes, two horns reaching back from the back of their heads, facial hair on their chins (male), a long whip like tail with a flaring second mane at it's end, and long whiskers from their snouts that continue to grow as long as they live. These whiskers seem to defy gravity as they grow longer, other than decoration these whiskers have another purpose. Lines with psychic receptors, each whisker is a magical sensor that sends constant ripples of psychic energy out in a sort of echolocation. Most Xiaolong can grow extremely tall, however their long bodies often require that they slouch down... standing straight up a male Xiaolong can stand between 6'10" and 8', a female between 5'11" and 7'. Their flesh is made up of small shimmering scales, and their colors often match the color of the element they embody. Xialong possess small golden eyes.

[edit] IMPORTANT NOTE

In recent years the Xiaolong's numbers have been dwindling due to less and less males being born, their total population in their nation is fifteen females to every one male. Because of this it is rare to see a male Xiaolong adventuring in the world.

[edit] Relations

The Xiaolong get along well with races such as elves, and centuars. Their connection to nature reminding them much of their own race, the same goes for Ranger, and Druids.

[edit] Alignment

Givin the shamanistic nature of the Xiaolong, most are of the Lawful Good alignment.

[edit] Lands

Xiaolong hail from the misty island of Wudao, hidden from the rest of the world.

[edit] Religion

The Xiaolong are spiritual and revere balance, and the elements of the earth.

[edit] Language

Xiaolong know; Common, Draconic, and Xiaolong
