Voodoo Doll[edit]

Pain is something that can be given in any size, but who would Expect so much from such a small thing. You were created for a purpose, To bring pain, to make others writhe about on the floor as you sink the blade deeper, but not in to them... no, you sink the blade deeper into your belly as your foes fall to the ground, stricken with wounds that match yours. You were made to kill. but whom or what is for you to decide.

Usually a critical fumble is a bad thing, but not anymore, because with this class you'll want the enemies to attack you... A LOT! Sometimes the monsters in the dungeon will attack you and THEY will be the ones falling over due to the pain that the strike caused to YOU.

History of Voodoo Dolls[edit]

There are many debates over the events that take place to create Voodoo Dolls. Some say that they are crafted by witches on Unholy nights, others say they arise from blood Cult ceremonies, and still there are some that believe that Voodoo dolls come to life while clutched in the cold hands of their recently slain caretakers, upon awakening, they seek vengeance for the innocent blood spilled.

Whatever the origin, Voodoo Dolls attitudes are usually Malevolent, tricksters, heedless in battle. Sometimes even Happy-go-lucky Innocents oblivious to the pain they cause.

Making a Voodoo Doll[edit]

A voodoo doll takes less damage than the normal character, deals damage by taking damage, and has a high hit dice. On the flip side, it's abilities depend too much upon taking damage in order to make a difference in combat. As far as cooperation with other classes is concerned, the voodoo doll can have his allies attack him, but that's only in desperate measures. Also, your voodoo doll and your cleric should get real comfortable with one another, because they should more or less be hold hands at all times.

Abilities: Constitution is the biggest factor for a voodoo doll, because it allows him to have more hit points. Strength will allow it to deal some decent damage without taking any, and Charisma is used for his more hoodoo abilities.

Races: The only races that ever join this class are Plushies or other doll-like, living constructs.

Alignment: Any non-good.

Starting Gold: 1d12 times 10 gp (65 GP).

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Voodoo Doll.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Voodoo Dolls gain proficiency with no armour. Voodoo Dolls gain proficiency with simple weapons and one martial weapon of their choice.

Voodoo Curse (Su): As a full round action a Voodoo Doll can affect a creature in his line of sight with a Voodoo Curse. A percent as listed in the above chart of any amount of damage dealt to the Voodoo Doll (before energy resistance, damage reduction, etc) is dealt as untyped damage to any creatures under the effect of the Voodoo Curse. A creature is entitled to a will save (DC 10 + 1/2 class levels + the Voodoo Doll's Charisma modifier) in order to avoid being placed under a Voodoo Curse. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Sacrificial Strike (Su): As a standard action, a Voodoo Doll can make a sacrificial strike against itself, dealing 1d6 + its Charisma modifier damage to itself and double this to all enemies affected by its Voodoo Curse. This damage is not modified by its Voodoo Curse percentage. A sacrificial strike can only be made once every 1d4+2 rounds. Every odd Voodoo Doll level the damage dealt by this ability increase by 1d6. At level 10, the multiplier on this damage increases to x3, at level 20 it increases to x4, and at 30 it increases to x5.

Blood Transfer (Su):As a standard action, a Voodoo Doll can drain part of an ally's Hit Points to restore its own (1d6 + Cha Mod), at level 7, they can drain enemies, enemies must make a Fortitude save or be drained by the Voodoo doll (DC 10 + 1/2 class levels + the Voodoo Doll's Charisma modifier). Increase drain by 1d6 every 4th level.

Damage Reduction (Ex): Damage Reduction: Voodoo Dolls have Damage Reduction/- starting with a base of 2. Every even level they get +1 DR.

Energy Resistance (Ex): Voodoo Dolls have energy resistance equal to their level. They start out with one type of energy resistance and gain resistance to one more type of energy at fifth level and every 5 levels thereafter (5, 10, 15, 20). The energy types that they have to choose from are Fire, Cold, Electricity, Acid, and Sonic.

Weaken Will (Su): At 2nd level, Voodoo Dolls reduce the will of those around them. Creatures within 10ft of the Voodoo Doll take a -(1 + half Charisma Mod) to Will saves. at 6th level it increased to Full charisma Mod, at 12th x1.5 and X2 at 18th. at 6th level, Voodoo Dolls may choose which creatures they affect with this ability. This ability may be switched on or off as a minor action.

Invigorating Failure (Su): At 4th Level, whenever another creature within 20ft of the Voodoo Doll fails a Will save, The Voodoo Doll gains 1 Temporary Hit point. this bonus increased to 2 at 8th and 3 at 12th, 4 at 16th, and 5 at 20th.

Guise of Vulnerability (Su): At 6th Level, Creatures under the effect of Voodoo Curse must make a Will save (DC = 10 + Voodoo Doll Character level + Cha Mod) to attack any other creature. This power can be turned off as a free action. This is a mind-affecting effect

Elemental Curse (Su): At 8th Level, Voodoo Dolls may Have Sacrificial Strike deal elemental Damage of a type that they have resistance for, but the resistance doesn't reduce the damage. (So DR still works but they don't get the added reduction from Energy Resistance)

Fast Healing (Su): At 14th Level, Voodoo Dolls Gain Fast Healing 3

Bestow Curse (Su): At 18th Level, Voodoo Dolls Gain the Bestow Curse Spell as a natural ability. It can be used every 2d4 Rounds as a standard action.

Ex-Voodoo Dolls[edit]

If a Voodoo Doll is ever of a good alignment they lose all abilities and can't take anymore levels in this class until they become of a non-good alignment again.
