Vile is renowned as one of the best assassins in the entire UNSC force. He would be heavily decorated, if he weren't so damn good at his job. None of the assassinations he has carried out have been successfully traced back to him, and he doesn't like to talk about his job.
In his armor, when he is visible, he is 7' 3". The armor is lacquered black, with black one-way glass over the face. The surface of his armor ripples very slightly, and can vanish without a moment's notice.
Out of his armor, Vile is mildly handsome, with freakishly pale skin, due to the amount of time he spends in his armor, black shoulder length hair, and bright blue eyes. His voice is a flat monotone, often sounding almost artificial. His body is covered in wiry muscle,
Vile is, as his name might suggest, is, well, vile. He has been described as "cold as ice", often more logical than a normal human. Given the length of his tour of duty, it is likely that war has had an adverse affect on the stability of Vile's mind, perhaps creating a slight psychosis. Recordings of his dialogue during combat demonstrate him talking to another entity the entire time under his breath. This could simply be mild schizophrenia, or could be a sign of some ancient Forerunner sentience attached to him.
