Half-vampire are not the spawn of a vampire and a mortal. These creature of the night lack many weakness and strength of full-fledged vampire. Still considered mortal, thse creature bear very few similarity to vampire and true vampire.

A half-vampire is created when a vampire drain a mortal to "death", the creation is a half-vampire. The half-vampire simply fall unconscious (instead of "dying") for a hour or 2. As the mortal slowly recover, their nature convert to the near undeath nature of the half-vampire. The victim must be cured before he recover his Constitution completely (see Blood Drain). If he recover his Constitution before the disease is cured, he become a Half-Vampire.

The Half-Vampire upon rebirth lose all racial traits except as noted:

- Size
Then he gain the racial feature of a half-vampire,note that the benefit of being a half-vampire scale on many levels.
[edit] Blood Half-Vampire Traits
- -2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence. +2 Charisma
- Half-Vampire gain the Undead (Half-Undead subtype)
- Blood Drain (Ex): A half- vampire can suck blood from a living victim with its fangs by making a successful grapple check. If it pins the foe, it drains blood, dealing 1d4-2 points of Constitution drain each round the pin is maintained. On each such successful attack, the half-vampire gains 2 temporary hit points.
