Half-vampire are not the spawn of a vampire and a mortal. These creature of the night lack many weakness and strength of full-fledged vampire. Still considered mortal, thse creature bear very few similarity to vampire and true vampire.

[edit] Creation

A half-vampire is created when a vampire drain a mortal to "death", the creation is a half-vampire. The half-vampire simply fall unconscious (instead of "dying") for a hour or 2. As the mortal slowly recover, their nature convert to the near undeath nature of the half-vampire. The victim must be cured before he recover his Constitution completely (see Blood Drain). If he recover his Constitution before the disease is cured, he become a Half-Vampire.
