Using Reaping Mauler to Extract Brains (3.5e Optimized Character Build)

Introduction[edit]
I was bored on day and I was looking through complete psionics, saw the flayerspawn guy, and thought, "Hey, I should check out these Illithid Feats" And after seeing Illithid Grapple, I knew, reaping mauler had a new purpose.

I'd suggest 5 levels reaping mauler for devastating grapple. Insure your tentacles kill. |
Other Components[edit]
Its important to watch your skills, because most of these classes don't have the skills you need for the prestige classes in their skill lists, so try to make sure you get the necessary skills up to what is needed as soon as possible, so you don't have to worry about it.
Highlights[edit]
I think after examination, the use of reaping maulers grappling prowess, and Illithid feats that give you tentacles and mind sucking ability, it doesn't matter what your enemy is, once pinned, its gonna die. And the fact that you can have 4 enemies pinned at a time, is just so fun (One with each tentacle). Also the improved grab feat that is automatic for your tentacles helps pin things, and flurry of blows at lower levels is a real life saver, these in combination with combat reflexes.
Side Notes[edit]
If you rolled High for str and wisdom it would be really good (AC and grapple checks) If you got higher strength than dexterity, consider an additional fighter level instead of 1 level swashbuckler, its the same thing at first level, except what the feat is.
DM Counters[edit]
Anything difficult to pin, such as a group of rangers in the back of the enemy group.
Undead, Constructs, really anything without a brain.
A Slayer with Brain Nausea.
Ring of Freedom of Movement. Improved Sunder becomes a great feat to have access to for this reason.
Flying anything, without a friendly Wizard to help you out.
