Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]

Welcome!

Hello ThunderGod Cid, and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying this site, and I hope you have been finding the information here on D&D Wiki useful. I am an admin (and, actually, the owner as well) here on D&D Wiki along with a couple other people who make up "The Face" of D&D Wiki. Everything relating to admins can be found here.

Questions

If you have any question about D&D Wiki, D&D, formatting on D&D Wiki, what day today is, or whatever, an admin will, many times, give a good answer. Please feel free to ask any admin any question (ask me a question!).

Formatting

Formatting on D&D Wiki (or any wiki for that matter) can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain the basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Again, if you have any questions about formatting on D&D Wiki please ask them as, I imagine, anybody will be more than happy to help you get them answered.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. Most discussions take place on content talk pages, however please feel free to walk into The Tavern (our local chat room) and talk to some fellow D&D Wikians. Anyway, on D&D Wiki, possibly since discussions are never deleted, people try to be nice. This means please follow Wikipedia's guidelines on Civility and Etiquette when discussing anything. And, if an argument does arise, please use Wikipedia's Dispute Resolution to make sure everyone comes out happy. Also, on a pretty different note, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon. Signature icon.png This will automatically produce your name and the date. Anyway, I hope you come to love the close-knit D&D Wiki community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon 16:50, 26 December 2008 (MST)

About your Shinanigans in the works[edit]

First off I'd like to complement you on your work on the Jigyousho, a truly unique piece of art. However there are some of your other ideas in the works that i must sadly strike down. First is your Halberdier - polearm-based fighter a position already filled by the dragoon class. The mediator's position is also alredy filled by the aristocrat class. Respectfully submitted by

D.M.DemonicPanda
Thanks for the praise on the Jigyousho. With all due respect, I am aware that not all of those ideas are exactly original, but I think that variants are hardly uncommon and so it might not be a complete waste of server space to put those classes up. Thanks again. - ThunderGod Cid 19:42, 16 April 2009 (MDT)

I give you this barnstar for adding a description to many base classes and PrC, thank you you were very helpful!--Lord Dhazriel 19:12, 14 June 2009 (MDT)

Jeeves[edit]

Hey Cid. About Jeeves edits; I never said I agreed with them. Haha. I just said "fancy". And that don't mean much. I wanted to see his original stuff so I could better judge his potential for the wiki. If all this puppy does is edit TK's stuff to hell... Then maybe he ain't worth my time. (Jeeves, if your reading this, sorry bro. TG Cid and TK are the shiz-nits. Nuf said.) --Jay Freedman 10:40, 26 August 2009 (MDT)

Don't worry too much about it, Jay. I'm just kind of frustrated with the way Green Dragon has been giving away the pages made by the recently departed people. I don't even really have anything against Jeeves (I, too, would be interested to see his original work, given his rather peculiar ideas on the balance and power of classes); I just feel like the original authors who left are getting a fair cut here. Perhaps now that Jota has adopted them, they will be able to remain in their present form. -- TG Cid 12:47, 26 August 2009 (MDT)

[A Collaborative Effort For A new Class][edit]

Hay, im Kilik Labaron a new user to the D&D Wiki but i've been lurking and using some of its content in me and my friends own parties we play. I was recently shown the 'TENKEN' class you developed and in truth its pretty freakin' sweet. Unfortunately for me i developed a class called the 'TRICKSTER' whom i based of Dante from 'Devil May Cry 'and its not only similar but almost exactly the same as you class but with some differences between the two [respectively]. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at the 'TRICKSTER' and tryin' to work with me on developing a conjoined class from the two of them. Like some of the things the 'TENKEN' has are just awesome, like the Shukuchi for example. And i developed some interesting fighting aspects for the 'TRICKSTER', like the abillity to jump/flip over medium-large sized enemies or objects (Depending on 'TRICKSTER' Level) and then with enough levels in the class getting a bonus attack in over their head, And using that ability as a movement action or after a successful reflex save. But ultimately up to you if you want to help, i'd appreciate it. But yeah, hope to hear from you.

~kilik Labaron

(PS: i did just join so im not 100% sure if this is how to message or contact a specific user but it says 'User talk:ThunderGod Cid' so i hope im right. If not please dont rage bro)
