From D&D Wiki
 Welcome to D&D Wiki!
Hello Jeeves, and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying this site, and I hope you have been finding the information here on D&D Wiki useful. I am an admin (and, actually, the owner as well) here on D&D Wiki along with a couple other people who make up "The Face" of D&D Wiki. Everything relating to admins can be found here.
If you have any question about D&D Wiki, D&D, formatting on D&D Wiki, what day today is, or whatever, an admin will, many times, give a good answer. Please feel free to ask any admin any question (ask me a question!).
Formatting on D&D Wiki (or any wiki for that matter) can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain the basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Again, if you have any questions about formatting on D&D Wiki please ask them as, I imagine, anybody will be more than happy to help you get them answered.
A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. Most discussions take place on content talk pages, however please feel free to walk into The Tavern (our local chat room) and talk to some fellow D&D Wikians. Anyway, on D&D Wiki, possibly since discussions are never deleted, people try to be nice. This means please follow Wikipedia's guidelines on Civility and Etiquette when discussing anything. Also, on a pretty different note, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Anyway, I hope you come to love the close-knit D&D Wiki community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon 13:21, 26 August 2009 (MDT)
 TK's Idea of Balance...
...is obviously not the same as yours. If multiple people rated the class well for power, then perhaps the mistake is not on his part. If you are comparing them to an [SRD:Fighter|SRD fighter]], then of course they are powerful (the SRD fighter sucks major donkey balls). You can't just say pages that are already completed by someone else are too powerful without providing justification, and it is even more critical that the original work of they author be preserved if it has previously been judged to be of good quality.
Even with the Keeper of Secrets, where the author had already had suspicions of balance issues, you shouldn't just halve every numerical effect in the class (you're basically cutting it off at the knees). The work of the original author should be respected, regardless of what Green Dragon says. - TG Cid 08:07, 25 August 2009 (MDT)
- Welcome Jeeves! If you are having issues with other's idea of balance (trust me, so do I) the easiest method, even with the current adoption policy, would be just to copy it all and create a new variant with your new stats. i.e. Item (3.5e item) could become Item, Jeeves Variant (3.5e item) or the like. May just make it easier on all fronts. Just an idea. But welcome aboard! If you need any assistance please feel free to ask. 08:10, 25 August 2009 (MDT)
- Welcome bro. I've seen your adoption work. Fancy stuff my man. I can't wait to see your original stuff too. See ya around. --Jay Freedman 10:19, 25 August 2009 (MDT)
- Seriously, man, I hope his original stuff is better because his so-called "adopted works" were just TK's with his name slapped on it and all the effects halved. You can't seriously be giving him credit for that. -- TG Cid 04:27, 26 August 2009 (MDT)
