Soul Forger[edit]

Unique beings, a soul forger is a mortal with the power to tap into his soul's true might. It manifests uniquely for every soul forger in that while using his powers one soul forger might appear to be enveloped in demonic flames while another might seem to have water floating around himself. Most soul forgers are born with their powers but some obtain them as a part of some kind of a blessing or a curse.

Making a Soul Forger[edit]

<-Strong points and weak points, and effectiveness with party members.->.

Abilities: Charisma(Cha) is the most important ability score for soul forgers because it determines their will power, Constitution(Con) is the second most important ability score because it determines their concentration.

Races: Only members of races that have souls can become soul forgers, constructs and psionic beings such as Shardminds cannot become soul forgers because of their lack of a soul.

Alignment: A soul forger can be of any alignment but the chosen alignment may have effects on how others percieve the soul forger because the souls of evil-aligned soul forgers tend to be darker and more brooding than the souls of good-aligned soul forgers. It also depends on their soul.

Starting Gold: 2d8×10 gp (95 gp).

Starting Age: "Simple" or "Moderate"

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Soul Forger.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Soul Forgers are proficient with simple melee and simple ranged weapons. They are also proficient with leather armor but not shields.

Souls Influence(Su): The Soul Forgers personality and powers are affected by his soul. All souls exhibit either a connection to one of the four elements, to astral(divine/positive)energy or to dark energies (necrotic/negative). When a Soul Forger gains this class feature he must choose one of the six options below and apply that option to his powers. He can never change the one he chose, without using anything weaker than a 'Wish' or a 'miracle'.

Fiery Passion: Your soul is linked to elemental fire. Your soul appears like flickering flames or a raging blaze around you, any kind of fire. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually hot-headed and don't think things completely through, getting caught in their actions. There are always some exceptions. You have to be any neutral alignment(unless your DM decides otherwise) and give off a neutral aura that can be detected with detection spells.

Solid Thoughts: Your soul is linked to elemental earth. Your soul appears like small pellets or stones swirling around you harmlessly. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually down-to-earth and logical, thinking everything completely through and completely controlling their emotions. There are always some exceptions. You have to be any lawful alignment(unless your DM decides otherwise) and give off a lawful aura that can be detected with detection spells.

Frozen Heart: Your soul is linked to elemental water. Your soul appears like water floating around you. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually cold-hearted and emotionless, treating everything empathically and going towards their goals without regards of others. There are always some exceptions. You have to be any non-good alignment(unless your DM decides otherwise) and give off an aura of your alignment that can be detected with detection spells.

Fickle Spirit:Your soul is linked to elemental air. Your soul appears like gusts of winds around you. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually light-hearted and joy-seekers, not with a very long attention span which causes them to sometimes just stop what they are doing and going to do something else. There area always some exceptions. You have to be any chaotic alignment(unless your DM decides otherwise) and give off an aura of chaos that can be detected with detection spells.

Cerebral Soul: Your soul is linked to positive energy. Your soul appears like a faint light glowing around you. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually living examples of goodness and kind, being the good, justice and kindness of the world born in flesh. There are always some exceptions. You have to be any good alignment (unless your DM decides otherwise) and give off an aura of good that can be detected with detection spells.

Spiraling Shadows: Your soul is linked to negative energy. Your soul appears like faint shadows swirling around you. Soul Forgers with this kind of soul are usually cruel and heartless, being living examples of evil. There are always some excetions. You have to be any evil alignment (unless your DM decides otherwise)and give off an aura of your alignment that can be detected with detection spells.

Soulshard Techniques (Su): At the 1st level, the soul forger gains the ability to be able to use techniques, selected from the technique list below. You can only learn techniques of the same level or lower level than the soul forger.
