My Characters[edit]

Blastlegar Bardoon
Character: Goliath Barbarian 19 / Dragonslayer 2
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Favor: 14/10
Status: Raging, rampaging, Final Solutioning (Sahuagin), and ready to start a kingdom.
Description: Blastlegar is the companion or Valentine the Rogue's Tine. He was my first RP character ever and he was a joy to watch evolve. He began as an ECL 4 aging and discontented agent for my DM's DMPC. He started out ugly, boorish, vile, and stupid. He grew up to be frightening, boorish, vile, and cunning. From not being able to identify a ghoul to having hunted down several Sirrushes in his spare time, by all measures he has come a long way. Most of his character has been retconned over the course of play and now it is not quite certain which pieces are canon or apocryphal, but all of them are humorous. He maintains a very profitable shipyard, a magical plane-hopping castle that flies, and a budding office of psychology. Almost no creature poses a real threat to Blastlegar and he enjoys an apex predator status in the D&D universe.

Despite being a barbarian, Blastlegar almost never uses his rage ability. The -2 penalty on AC and lack of planning do not fit well into his character. He calculates with almost unerring precision the way to best kill a creature without it being able to harm him. The only recorded instances of Blastlegar going into a rage occur because of his deep (and unexplained) hatred of Sahuagin. The offending creatures are now all but extinct.

This character does not reflect the better judgments of party balance or game balance for that matter. He was constructed under the reign of a DM whose policy can only be described as, "Rule Zero, LOL!" thus he is severely imbalanced on more than a couple of levels. He generally did more damage than a wizard could with maximized fireballs at will.
