[edit] Ulfsark
[edit] Characteristics
An ulfsark can be both a cunning strategist, and a reckless mercenary, whatever it takes to defend the homeland.
[edit] Adventures
Ulfsarks find adventuring to be taking unnecessary risks, so they almost never go far from their homeland.
[edit] Alignment
Ulfsarks never favor law or chaos over the other, but rather a combination of the two, the clan's traditions and the craziness of battle.
[edit] Religion
Ulfsarks follow the gods of the tribes of the Unknown Lands, Gallelon, the Earth, and Sarllemon, the Moon.
[edit] Background
Ulfsarks come from native tribes, as their protectors. They are connected to each other as ulfsarks, but as fellow tribesmen.
[edit] Making a Ulfsark
[edit] Role
An ulfsark's role is as an ambush, charging out of nowhere and decimating his foes.
[edit] Other Classes
Ulfsarks share a reverence for nature with rangers and druids, but find barbarians a disgrace to warriors, and all clerics and shamans have distasteful strategies.
[edit] Game Rule Statistics
Ulfsarks have the following game statistics.
Abilities: Strength is important for hitting enemies. Dexterity is the base of many class skills, and protects them. Intelligence and Wisdom are key to many class skills.
Races: Skraelings are usually in villages that are protected by ulfsarks, and therefore commonly take this class. Among other races, only dwarves take this class.
Alignment: NG, TN, NE.
Starting Gold: 6d4 ×10 gp (150 gp).
Starting Age: Moderate.

[edit] Class Features
All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Ulfsarks are all simple weapons, the throwing axe, the handaxe, the battleaxe, the greataxe, the halberd, the dwarven waraxe, the orc double axe, and the dwarven urgrosh. They are proficient with light and medium armor, but not shields.
Nature Sense (Ex): An ulfsark gains a +2 bonus on all Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks.
Homeland Defense (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, if any member of his clan is attacked or threatened, he gains a +1 bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, fortitude saves, will saves, and Spot checks to see a hiding enemy. At 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter (4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th), this bonus increases by +1
Favored Enemy (Ex): At 5th level, a ulfsark may select a type of creature from among those given on Table: Ulfsark Favored Enemies. The ranger gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against creatures of this type. Likewise, he gets a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against such creatures.
At 10th level and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), the ulfsark may select an additional favored enemy from those given on the table. In addition, at each such interval, the bonus against any one favored enemy (including the one just selected, if so desired) increases by 2.
If the ulfsark chooses humanoids or outsiders as a favored enemy, he must also choose an associated subtype, as indicated on the table. If a specific creature falls into more than one category of favored enemy, the ulfsark’s bonuses do not stack; he simply uses whichever bonus is higher.
[edit] Ex-Ulfsarks
An ulfsark who changes to an alignment opposed to his clan, joins another clan, or willingly does something against his clan, loses the Homeland Defense ability,is expelled from his clan (if he had joined another clan, he is only expelled from his original clan, not his new one), and cannot gain more levels as an ulfsark of that clan, although he may join a new clan and be come an ulfsark of that clan.
