A trucheon (also known as a baton, nightstick, or billy-club) is a stick of about arm's length, usually made of wood or metal, that is used when the wielder wishes to subdue, but not kill or seriously harm his/her opponent. This weapon is mainly equipped by law enforcement officials and security personnal. Truncheons deal nonlethal damage instead of lethal.
