Swords on DnD Equipment?[edit]

Should all the swords on this page be added to DnD Equipment and then linked to by this page? The advantages of this would be that more people would see your work. What do you think, would that be good to do? --Green Dragon 14:19, 23 March 2007 (MDT)

Sounds like a good idea. Thanks --EaTCarbS 12:36, 2 April 2007 (MDT)
No problem. --Green Dragon 16:40, 2 April 2007 (MDT)

Well, good to see someone still reads Saberhagen —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs) 09:47, 4 June 2007 (MDT). Please sign your posts!

Since this has recently had a major re-haul I was wondering if the rating should stay the same. Ideas? --Green Dragon 21:16, 11 September 2007 (MDT)

It should be re-rated, since I have put a decent amount of stuff in it, and will continuously be adding more. --EaTCarbS 04:55, 12 September 2007 (MDT)
I'll get to it soon (within a few days). –EldritchNumen 12:57, 12 September 2007 (MDT)
Sorry this took so long. I'll increase the rating to a 2/10 since the content to be added has been outlined (and the addition of the maps are nice). There is still a massive amount of information, though, to be added before this project proceeds beyond rating 2. –EldritchNumen 20:18, 6 December 2007 (MST)

Despite the creator vasnishing from this wiki leaving this project incomplete, I'm not sure it's suitable for deletion. It's a good concept, and the base of the setting, the swords, is already here. Shouldn't someone just adopt it? (change the "feel free to edit constructively" to "adopt me!", or maybe even make an "adopt me!" template?) TheWarforgedArtificer 22:44, 19 June 2009 (MDT)

been working around the site, and personally, I think a simple "stub" template is more appropriate for this page than outright deletion. That's what I did to another campaign setting that had almost no information. If there are no objections by July 7th, I'm swapping the delete template for a stub template. --TheWarforgedArtificer 17:12, 30 June 2009 (MDT)
Delete template replaced with stub. --TheWarforgedArtificer 11:29, 7 July 2009 (MDT)

This came from a book[edit]

This work comes from a book and I don't like the fact that there is no reference to it. It comes from The Books of the Swords, writen by Fred Saberhag (in 1983-1984)

Thank you for bringing this up. Anything used in such a way should always have the Copyright Disclaimer tag, and at least reference the work if it isn't an obvious copy (check out the settings for WoW, DC, Marvel, or SoA for examples). Its okay to make a setting from a favorite or beloved book / show / movie / game / etc., but always note the copyright and give the inspiration's source it's due.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   14:52, 14 September 2009 (MDT)

I'll take it[edit]

I'll adopt it and work on it. I don't think it should be deleted. Also, I'll cite the source. Ixidor 15:50, 23 September 2009 (MDT)

It's been about two years since the last time someone tried to adopt this, I think I can give a try at attempting to fix this up a little bit. Not sure if it's even looked at any more, but I've always enjoyed these books, and I recently just bought them all to reread in my spare time. I think the Swords could use a bit of tweaking, and the campaign itself could definitely use a bit of fixing up. So I'll try my hand at fixing it up ^^. I may try to make it more similar to the story in the books though >.< Eavath 07:41, 24 November 2011 (MST)
Okay, well, relooking at this, and thinking about the books, I don't feel as if these are really game changing, like they very well should be. For example, Shieldbreaker makes the wielder unstoppable in armed combat. And, according to info on Doomgiver: "It was observed to turn any attack directed toward it back to the source. If an arrow is fired at the wielder of the Sword of Justice, the arrow would turn around in mid-flight and fatally strike the archer." I feel these should really be epic level weapons to really capture the true power of them. --Eavath 08:47, 30 December 2011 (MST)

this seems interesting also to me though i did not see the books nor read them. i can try as well (janlukky)
