Question[edit]

Does the Nix(ex) ability affect good and bad effects on the time bender? If it doesn't and only purges ill effects that seems a bit strong at first level being it can get rid of poisons and other delayed things. It is highly vague in what it means. As I read it I understand it as "As a move action you can purge all effects that have a lasting effect up to an hour/level. And can they do this as many times as they want? Maybe putting a limit per day or reducing the time/level is a good idea. I like the rest of the class as a whole and is really neat its just the Nix(ex) ability that questions me. ~Newbie~

Well thank you for your interest in the class first off, and to answer your questions, yes, it purges all effects, good or bad. Yes, you can do it as often as you want, as long as you expend your psionic focus each time. And lastly, if I lowered the duration by very much, the class feature would become a lot less useful. As is, the time bender gains the ability to, if he is concious or currently capable of thinking, get rid of effects that could possibly kill him. Now, other classes don't have an ability like this, you might say, but keep in mind that the time bender has much fewer pp's than another psionic class, and a much lower BAB than most classes that aren't that agressive spellcasting or manifesting-wise. So, in exchange for not being very agressive, I gave them an extra powerful defense mechanism. Also, you're right about it being vague, I'll try and reword it later today. → Rith (talk) 15:03, 26 March 2009 (MDT)

About feats[edit]

In the "starting package" there's a feat that seems to be unusable until at least level nine. It costs eight additional power points, and power point cost can't exceed manifester level.

About the ability scores...[edit]

Psions have a good will save and bad fort and ref, wouldnt you say it is a little too strong to give the time bender two good abilities? I'd consider making them both average so it's level with its SRD cousin.

The time bender gets a lot few power points in exchange for that extra good save, and a much more narrow list of powers too. I think the trade off is fair. → Rith (talk) 12:50, 14 August 2009 (MDT)

If your going to attack somebodies creation the least you can do is justify your answers. Your reasons are basically 'its stupid' or 'it sucks'. Those are not reasons, please explain in depth why you think it is not up to standard rather than just saying it sucks. --Vrail 18:58, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
