Hey everyone, I'd like some feedback on this background so if you have any suggestions I'm all ears!

Why a dice set and not Thieves' tools? --209.97.85.48 18:51, 20 July 2016 (MDT)

I figured there would be betting but not much thievery.

I would figure that the character landed in prison because of thievery. --Redrum 13:34, 30 July 2016 (MDT)
What if they landed in jail for assassination? Or fraud? Or as a war prisoner? Or for being a heretic? Or for not paying taxes? Or any other medieval law? --Kydo (talk) 22:41, 16 September 2016 (MDT)
Isn't there an exchange deal or a honor system for medieval POWs? I think heretics would have have been stoned or burned to death. Who really wants to play a former tax evader? About the rest, you may have a point. --Redrum 13:45, 17 September 2016 (MDT)
"For most of human history, depending on the culture of the victors, enemy combatants on the losing side in a battle who had surrendered and been taken as a prisoner of war could expect to be either slaughtered or enslaved. The first Roman gladiators were prisoners of war and were named according to their ethnic roots such as Samnite, Thracian, and the Gaul (Gallus). Homer's Iliad describes Greek and Trojan soldiers offering rewards of wealth to opposing forces who have defeated them on the battlefield in exchange for mercy, but their offers are not always accepted; see Lycaon for example." -Wikipedia
I think the background is done, and the template can come off.
Agreed. --Kydo (talk) 13:41, 24 July 2017 (MDT)
