April Fools and Balance[edit]

Discussion moved from User talk:Green Dragon#3.5e Rule Negative Level Adjustment. --Green Dragon 12:55, 11 January 2011 (MST)

Should this really belong in April Fools? It makes perfect sense to me. I'm serious. --Lolki 00:13, 20 October 2008 (MDT)

Good question, why IS this April Fools? I've actually seen this before as legit stuff. Though why are halflings on there? LA 0 is fine with them, halflings are good and decent. Kobolds, with all their buffs nowdays, aren't really the LA -2 monster they used to be, and goblins I'd say are even with kobolds. I'd make either LA -1. -- Eiji 00:24, 20 October 2008 (MDT)
I completely agree with Category:April Fools. I also agree with the Kobolds being LA -1, I think you're right with them being better with the last few books Wizards published. Although, when they are moved to LA -1, no LA -2 example will be present though. Any thoughts on a good LA -2 creature? --Green Dragon 10:02, 20 October 2008 (MDT)
Yes, this should be April Fools. LA is a stupid concept anyway, but negative LA is possibly even worse. Make Wizards and Druids even more broken? Holy shit, no. Surgo 10:04, 20 October 2008 (MDT)
Seriously? Halflings -1 level adjustment? They do not suck. But actually, that could benefit them... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.30.36.43 (talkcontribs) 01:07, 7 November 2009 (UTC). Please sign your posts!
You said that the "last few books Wizards published" made them more of a -1 la. I was wondering what are these buffs/books? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DrewVolker (talkcontribs) 01:38, 13 April 2010 (UTC). Please sign your posts!
He probably means Races of the Dragon and possible Dragon Magic. RoD actually made kobolds kinda cool. --Name Violation 02:56, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
That's what I was thinking after I asked the question, but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DrewVolker (talkcontribs) 21:32, 13 April 2010 (UTC). Please sign your posts!
If I remember correctly it was Races of the Dragon, but you could always check the date of the comment and the publication dates. --Green Dragon 17:15, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Races of Dragon Excerpt. It gives Kobolds Slight Build (opposite of Half-Giant's Powerful Build), natural weapons and weapon proficiencies. --TK-Squared 12:00, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
