Battlerager (Typical)[edit]

Currently I am playing a character using this homebrew class. His stats are as follows:

Rorick Iron-splinter[edit]

Bar 1/Fig 7/Bat 1

STR 18, DEX 14, CON 16, INT 13, WIS 11, CHR 7

AC 24 (Dex +2, Armor +6, Misc +6)

SAV: F[12] R[6] W[2]

BAB: 8 / GRP: 16

HP: 76

Feats:

It is my understanding that where this character really shines is in grappling their opponents and doing Violent Shake or via Moving Strike.

In my current build, I have BAB of 8 meaning I have two attacks with Primary hand weapon, and one additional attack with my off-hand weapon (due to two weapon fighting feats and special abilities). This begs the question, when doing Violent Shake, what attacks do I have? If taking the interpretation from the Gutbusters, I would say that I have the three attacks substituted from my Spiked Gauntlets, plus 2 attacks from the Spiked Armor. Pwent and the Gutbusters were prone to throw themselves into enemies, latching on (Grappling) and then impale and tear then apart. This implies a lot of attacks all at one time.

Can anyone lend something to the interpretation above?

Changes to name[edit]

Initially I thought to change the name from Battle Rager (two words) to Battlerager (one word). The latter is already a class (in Races of Faerun). In that class, the dwarf warrior is expected to wield axes (in lore), and no special attention is given to the Spiked Armor variant.

Because of this, I propose to rename this class to Gutbuster to set it aside from the "normal" Battlerager. It can be inferred that the Battlerager as described in Races of Faerun is the way most dwarven communities Battlerager contingents work. The dwarves of the Silver Marches elected to take it a step further and stop wielding weapons and instead BECAME weapons, thus forming the Gutbuster brigade of Mithral Hall (I think Thibbledorf Pwent returned to Mithral Hall from somewhere else, Adbar? Sundabar?). This renaming will help differentiate the class from the normal Battlerager class (although I think I will make a redirect from the Battle Rager page to the new Gutbuster page).
