Talk:Grappler (3.5e Class)

When can the Grappler use Power Lock? Is it only during a grapple? Only when he has the opponent pinned?

Rating[edit]

Power - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because pinned flurry seems to come too late. Any sort of ground and pound fighter will be able to mount their opponent even with minute experience. --64.139.232.16 15:16, 30 November 2008 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because everything seems to be thought out and worded correctly. WELL DONE! --64.139.232.16 15:16, 30 November 2008 (MST)

Formatting - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because I feel you should develop the ground and pound a bit more. Perhaps grant a mount (knee pin) feat at 1st level and then add attacks depends on BAB as they occur; also might want to consider a small penalty until later levels. Another thing to consider is allowing the pinning player use of one handed weapons, not just light weapons, while using a knee mount. Maybe a later level ability that allows a pinned coup de grace? --64.139.232.16 15:16, 30 November 2008 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it's what I've been looking for! --64.139.232.16 15:16, 30 November 2008 (MST)

<!-- !!!REMOVE THIS FIRST LINE OF THIS PAGE BEFORE YOU SAVE!!! (i.e. the "nowiki" tag) --> == Rating == '''Power - 1/5''' I give this class a 1 out of 5 because of how easily it is to manipulate a situation where a foe is grappled or pinned. More over, with the bonus abilities this class gets it is simply far too broken. At any given level 90% of other classes are entirely fucked if they run into this guy in melee range --~~~~ '''Wording - 4/5''' I give this class a 4 out of 5 because the writing isn't half bad --~~~~ '''[[Help:Standards and Formatting (DnD Guideline)|Formatting]] - 1/5''' I give this class a 1 out of 5 because in my opinion it clearly wasn't balanced using the other classes as a starting point --~~~~ '''Flavor - 3/5''' I give this class a 3 out of 5 because many of the class abilities feel as though they've been put there as place holders and don't really have a relation to the flavour. See speed bonus for the most glaringly obvious example. --~~~~
