Talk:Exotic Weapon Training (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
I changed this feat from "gain all" to "gain one per combat school feat". Why? because I believe that feat chains should be made of a lot of different feats that can be taken in different order, but that get better the more feats you have. That's how Combat Form and the Sorcerer Heritage feat chains work. --Mkill 09:37, 26 July 2007 (MDT)
- I rolled the article back. I am not creating feat chains in those styles. This chain's purpose is to explore deep trees. If I am to take this in the direction of Combat Form feats and Sorcerer Heritage feats, I need to read them, understand them, then apply them across this entire tree.
- Your version works GREAT as fighter substitution level. --Dmilewski 14:50, 26 July 2007 (MDT)
- I don't mind deep trees, but you need a broader foundation. At the moment, a fighter with your Combat School is stifled with prerequisites. His only choice is in which order to take feats of a certain level, but there is no alternative for him. He can't even choose his normal non-fighter bonus feats freely if he wants to get anywhere. That's not good basis for design. Your Combat School needs more low-level feats, so PCs who walk that route have some choice. --Mkill 04:37, 27 July 2007 (MDT)
