Variant Rule[edit]

Are you sure this should be a variant rule? It seems more like a thing to go in "Quests" or "Other". --Ramses IV 16:46, 13 January 2008 (MST)

You are probably right -- it doesn't change the mechanics of the game, it is more of a side quest... Speaking of which... I should really finish this :P. --Aarnott 17:28, 13 January 2008 (MST)
I hope you do finish it. Looks really good so far.--Ramses IV 16:38, 14 January 2008 (MST)

This is Awesome[edit]

I have always wanted to play something like this. I think it is great so far. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hatman (talkcontribs) 14:12, 27 February 2008 (MST). Please sign your posts!

This could also be an excellent way to play without a DM, given some minor tweaking.--Raweno (talk) 10:53, 28 November 2012 (MST)

Something I Didn't Notice Before[edit]

Magic items and spells grant only 1/5 or 1/3 of the bonus to skills and saves. Why is that? I still like this though.--Hatman 09:32, 28 February 2008 (MST)

It was a balancing effort so that the game is still difficult with a tweaked out character. If you want to help add to the rules or change them, feel free. I only spend the occasional minute working on this (though I hope to finish someday). I'm glad you like it though. It can be a lot of fun (especially if you can get a neutral DM and 4-8 players each on teams of 2). --Aarnott 10:18, 28 February 2008 (MST)
I see, my group has the occasional super skilled guy and nothing is difficult for them anymore. That makes a lot of sense now. If I can think of anything I will let you know, and when it is all finished I will have to show this to my DM. --Hatman 09:01, 29 February 2008 (MST)
I just had an idea, but not a very detailed one. I dont know how to begin to do this one because I don't know how you would want the specifics to go and stuff. Divinations should be limited a bit because if you already know where the flag is then this wouldn't be fun and challenging anymore. --Hatman 09:07, 29 February 2008 (MST)
Agreed -- Divinations can really help find flags, but remember -- there is only 1 minute to find hidden flags in a room. Using a spell to find one of them would likely be fair. --Aarnott 20:34, 29 February 2008 (MST)
Ok. 1 minute shouldnt help or hinder the divination process too much, I guess. If you would like some ideas for traps and puzzles, I have some stuff that might work. --Hatman 10:44, 1 March 2008 (MST)
