How is the "Back to" footer going to look like on the classes? Which one of the below choices looks the best? --Green Dragon 20:47, 28 March 2007 (MDT)
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons->DnD Classes->Base Classes.
- Back to: Dungeons and Dragons > DnD Classes > Base Classes.
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons > DnD Classes > Base Classes.
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons->DnD Classes.
- Back to: Dungeons and Dragons > DnD Classes.
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons > DnD Classes

- 1 and 4: no (some alternative arrows, if you decide to use any: →, ➡, ➟, >, ›)
- If the difference between 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 is just the depth, I prefer 1-2-3
- I can’t decide between 2-3 and 5-6. The colon is nice, but the lack of is nice too.

- Relevant link to a previous discussion on the topic.
- I just changed my opinion on the best way to make all the choices available, so here is my new idea. Insane voting. Anyway, the examples are shows using the current majority. They will be changed as opinions on the best option changes.
How Deep? Depth Votes Classes Classes > Base Classes Cúthalion Classes > Base Classeswith description Flession | Dmilewski Classes > Base Classes with description Armond | Green Dragon |David Latapie Classes > Base Classes > with description Sledged Classes > Base Classes (Goes to description)
- Feel free to move this comment if it's in the wrong place. I just added a link that I've been wanting for some time, DnD Base Classes ⇒ DnD Base Classes. My vote would be different without that link. --Cúthalion
- I think there should be a space between "Classes" and "with" on where I voted. Armond 15:12, 9 April 2007 (MDT)

- If a page has multiple bread crumbs, I like the way it looks with only one "Back to" text:
- Back to:
Dungeons and Dragons → Complex Special Ability Components → Cleric Spells
Dungeons and Dragons → Complex Special Ability Components → Druid Spells

- Initially I liked having the breadcrumb at both the top and bottom, but when you have multiple breadcrumb trails, or if one is particularly deep, it clutters up the top of the page. However, I wouldn't mind having a link at the top of the page that takes you directly to the "back to" footer. —Sledged (talk) 13:07, 11 April 2007 (MDT)

[edit] Tentative Summary
It seems this one is a what we agreed upon
| Back to Dungeons and Dragons → Classes → Base Classeswith description |
David Latapie (✒ | @) — blog 19:04, 9 April 2007 (MDT)
- Yes, that is the one with the most votes. However, is
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons → Classes → Base Classes with description
- better or worse than
- Back to Dungeons and Dragons → Classes → Base Classeswith description
- ? --Green Dragon 13:04, 10 April 2007 (MDT)
- I prefer the first one, with a space before with description.

- Same here. I changed your and my votes to match the choice with the space. The choice with the space now has the most votes :). --Green Dragon 13:36, 10 April 2007 (MDT)
- :-) As for my choice (compact breadcrumb): I understand it may not look that appealing here, because it is taken out of context. I think that, in order to truly see it working (or not), it will be necessary to put it in production, on a page with dozens of information and links.

This discussion is being closed, I am sorry if you did not have time to vote. Anyway, the final choice is.....
Back to Main Page → Dungeons and Dragons → Classes → Base Classes with description
This will only be on the bottom. Also, in comment to how this does not please Sledged as his focuses around multiple "Back to"'s—on DnD Classes there will not be multiple choices so the br does not apply here. --Green Dragon 23:58, 17 April 2007 (MDT)
- I was under the impression that the changes to the breadcrumbs would apply to all pages, not just the classes. —Sledged (talk) 12:06, 20 April 2007 (MDT)
- I think it would be better to first make a discussion like this for the other main areas and then go off that discussion—not this one. If that is the case then the breadcrumb for spells can be different. I don't think we should make this the standard without first looking at it in different areas, I think this should just be required for base classes at the moment. --Green Dragon 14:02, 22 April 2007 (MDT)
